Cam'ron Explains Why He Calls 50 "Cuurtis," "The Real 50 Cent Never Snitched"

In a recent interview conducted while he shot his 50 Cent diss video "Cuurtis," Cam'ron revealed why he refers to the G-Unit honcho by his government name among other things.

"His name is Curtis. His legal name is Curtis Jackson," explained Killa Cam. "The real 50 Cent never snitched on anybody, never was happy when
his accomplice got life in prison, he was a thorough dude and died thorough. That's why I call him 'Cuurtis.'

Cam'ron also mocked 50 for asking fans for help
on an anti-Cam myspace page he alleges the G-Unit boss set up.

"He has a
MySpace page tryin' to get people to write their best Cam'ron disses. Why do you need public assistance?" questioned Cam. "You know what, help him out all you want, y'all heard him, 'he ain't chubby like Ricky Ross.' What are you talking about?" [Watch the interview here]

As previously reported,
the bad blood between both artists began when they got into an argument on Angie Martinez's Hot 97 radio show two weeks ago.

50 would throw the first blow releasing the "Funeral
Music" video on Friday (February 9). The clip featured a hearse with the words "Cam'ron's Career" written on it and mocked the rapper's shooting in Washington D.C. last year.

Cam responded the following day with his song "Cuurtis," which took shots at 50's appearance and stressed that the G-Unit boss is a snitch, while the video hit the internet yesterday (February 15). The clip featured Cam'ron emerging from a coffin at his funeral and hitting the streets to air out 50 Cent. In different scenes of the video, various people on the streets including a police officer, echo the song's chorus, "Cuurtis."

BEYONCE’S SI SECRET KEPT SINCE NOVEMBER

Beyonce said it was a challenge to keep her mouth shut for three months knowing that she was about to make history as the first non-model covergirl for Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit edition.

"It was hard because I was so excited,” she said of keeping her November photo shoot in Miami a secret. “You grow up seeing those issues and they're so amazing, it's crazy that I was able to be on the cover. It's amazing for me. They called and they said they were doing a music issue and they said they didn't know if I would be willing to wear the swimsuits. I said I would for Sports Illustrated because it's so classy. My mother actually designed all of the swimsuits. We have a clothing line, House of Dereon, so that was a great launch for us."

The talent, whose song “Irreplaceable” fell to No. 2 Thursday after a 10-week No. 1 reign, is shocked that the tabloids never caught wind of the photo shoot.

"I don't know, they didn't, it's great,” she said. “We were in Miami, it's not like we were somewhere very far away. They're iconic photographs, so I'm very happy."
Now for the bad news…

According to AHH and the Sandra Rose blog, some readers believe Sports Illustrated has gone too far in featuring Beyonce on the cover and choosing music as a theme for the special issue. The magazine also features models posing with such music stars as Kanye West, Three 6 Mafia, Isaac Hayes, and even the marching band from Grambling State University.

“Mass readers have called in and requested to 1) cancel their subscription of the mag or 2) called them or 3) left angry messages on their message boards/blogs,” writes AHH.

Despite all the hate, Beyonce is proud of the photos and her place in the magazine’s history.
"These are photos I can show my kids some day, so I can say, 'See, momma was beautiful. Look how good I looked!'" she said.

Foxy Brown In Florida Without Permission, NY Probation Department Seeks To Incarcerate Rapper

The New York City Department of Probation is seeking to have rapper Foxy Brown incarcerated, after she was arrested outside of a beauty supply store Thursday (Feb. 15) in Pembroke Pines, FL.

Brown was sentenced to anger management classes and three years probation in Oct. 2006, for assaulting two Manhattan nail salon employees over a $20 manicure in Aug. 2004.

According to Jack Ryan, a spokesman for the New York City Department of Probation, Brown never had permission from her probation officer to travel to Florida.

"We are asking the court to violate her probation and incarcerate her," Ryan told The New York Post.

Brown now faces up to a year in prison for violating the terms of her probation.
The fracas started while Brown and an associate were sampling beauty products at the Queen Beauty Supply Store in Pembroke Pines.

According to Queen Beauty Supply Store owner Sam Hayssam, he asked Brown to leave, because the store was closing.

"I told them they had to leave," Hayssam told local CBS 4. "She said 'I have to finish my hair, the glue is not working right and I need a different kind of glue so I can finish my hair."
Hayssam said he told Brown the store "was not a salon" and that's when Brown threw the hair glue and spit on him, before exiting the store.

Police arrived and found Brown in the shopping center and attempted to escort her back to the Queen Beauty Supply Store.

"I placed my hand on the defendants arm to escort her back and she swatted my hand away," the arresting officer wrote in his police report. "The defendant then started swinging her arms and struggling with me. I was forced to utilize a take down maneuver to gain control of the defendant."

Brown, born Inga Marchand, was charged with battery and resisting an officer with violence. She was released from jail yesterday (Feb. 16) afternoon, after a $1500 bond was posted.
Local CBS 4 caught footage of Brown, 27, and an unknown associate in a lime green running from the jail, into an awaiting cab.

Yesterday (Feb. 16), the store produced surveillance footage of Brown entering the store with an unknown female associate.

None of the alleged incident was caught on the surveillance footage and Brown appears to be calm upon exiting the store, while Hayssam is using his mobile phone, presumably calling police.
A man named James, who identified himself as Brown's brother, said that the reports detailing Brown's arrest are false.

"Anything alleged, it never happened. Everybody wants to soup something up and make it seem bigger than what it is," James Marchand said.

Gillie Da Kid Freed After 10 Days In Jail

Philadelphia rapper Gillie Da Kid was released from prison on Friday (Feb. 16).

The rapper was arrested on Feb. 6, after authorities searched two houses on Passmore Street in Philadelphia and found more than 89 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated street value of $404,000.

Gillie and four associates were charged with conspiracy and possessing narcotics with intent to deliver.

"He is extremely happy to be home and is resting comfortably with his family," representatives for Gillie said in a press release. "He maintains his innocence and is looking forward to promoting and releasing his upcoming mixtape album."

Prior to being incarcerated, Gillie was preparing to release The Best of The Gillie Da Kid Mixtapes, which hits stores Mar. 13 on Babygrande Records.

While Gille Da Kid focuses on his mixtape series, police are also investigating the rapper's involvement in another house in the area, where officers confiscated $6 million in cocaine last year.

The Game, Young Buck Dodge Near Altercation In Las Vegas

Young Buck and The Game got into a near altercation in the early morning hours of Saturday (February 17) when Game attended the T.I./Jeezy hosted party in Las Vegas during NBA All-Star weekend.G-Unit's Young Buck arrived at the event, called The Las Vegas Takeover, at around 3 a.m. with a large number of associates, while Game and his also large entourage arrived at 4 a.m. making their way to the VIP area upstairs of The Ice House Lounge nightclub.

According to witness statements, Young Buck began making gestures at The Game from across the room, with Game and his people gesturing back. This is when Buck took it a step further.Buck then headed out of the VIP area to the stage, where he got a hold of the mic and began to spit a freestyle dissing The Game over one of his tracks.

The Game stood up on the railing of the upstairs VIP staring down at Buck and his group, and then proceeded down the stairs toward the stage with his entire crew behind him. Buck, still on the mic taunted him with "What, What!"Security immediately stopped The Game from getting on stage, then proceeded to escort Buck and rapper Young Jeezy -- who attended the event with Buck -- out of the building, holding Game and his crew until they left."Young Buck was really taunting The Game from upstairs, sitting on the railing of the VIP. Then he went down stairs and got on stage on the mic and taunted him some more," a fan, who attended the event said.

"The Game stood up on the railing of the upstairs VIP. His people held his arm, so he wouldn't fall. It was crazy! His whole crew headed down the stairs. The stage was at the bottom of the stairs. Then we ran the hell out of there!"

Both camps fortunately left without incident, but both rappers -- not their entourages -- were making definite advances at each other, according to a fan in who attended the party. If security didn't stop it before it happened, The Ice House would have had a problem.Other celebs in attendence included T.I., Trina, DJ Drama, Kid Capri and Young Dro, among others.

Timbaland: "I'm not a Hip Hop Producer. I am a Producer."

Timbaland has big plans for the new year. While already gaining more and more success with hit makers of varying genres, the producer has his sights set on his new album Shock Value.

But just why did he decide to title the album Shock Value?

"Yeah, the reason why I call it Shock Value is like now, everybody is [calling] me 'Timbaland, the hip-hop producer,' " he told MTV recently. "No, I'm not a hip-hop producer...I am a producer," he noted.

Later, the producer revealed plans for his upcoming album. Shock Value will pair Timbo up with a slew of recording artists ranging from Lil' Wayne, 50 Cent and Jay-Z to Elton John, Nickelback, The Hives, Fall Out Boy and Nelly Furtado.

Later in the interview, he explained why he is "not just hip-hop."

"I'm not hip-hop, because Jay-Z is not just hip-hop. He wouldn't be [speaking] at the United Nations if he was just hip-hop. He wouldn't own a basketball team if he was just hip-hop. He is bigger than hip-hop. I'm bigger than hip-hop. I do everything. If they have a 'Titanic 2,' I can do Celine Dion. That's easy," he added.

Soon, Timbo will head out on tour with Justin Timberlake, ready to dance, sing and produce a beat live on stage. For now, he will be putting the finishing touches on the album, which is currently slated for a late March release.
