Busta Rhymes Speaks On New Album and Rumored Track With 50 Cent and The Game.
Busta Rhymes wants 50 Cent and The Game to make love - not beef. Busta Rhymes had a rant about the conflict between the tap heavyweights and offered some words of wisdom. "I have always had problem with the beef," said Busta.
"If you listen to ‘The Devil's Advocate', which is the title track on his (The Game's) album, I didn't agree with his role at how he handled the situation."
50 Cent and the Game on the same track again? It seems so unlikely, right? Busta Rhymes said he's trying to get both of his friends to join him on a track for his new album "Before Hell Freezes Over". Bus also said if it were up to him, the two would quash their quarrelling altogether.
"50, even though I don't agree with everything he has done, he is still someone of an orchestrator of the situation from a general rank standpoint. If you are an apprentice, coming under someone. there is a general pride and ego. You gotta swallow a certain thing. It's a part of being conditioned for greatness. Humbling yourself is the key when it comes to reach a certain place. That doesn't apply to everybody; certain people go about it in a tyranic manor. But 50 was with Trackmasters and was humble, he got played out. 50 was with Jay, he was humble in that situation. Jam Master Jay, he was humble in that situation. It didn't work out. He had to pay his dues and be humble."
He went on: "The Game needed to understand, even though he is a very incredible talent, a genius with his work ethic and his ability to contribute with the music in a great way, he's still gotta play a certain role."
"That's why when I go on his record; before I had to say when I get on your song I'm coming from a real perspective. He was so embarrassing in that because he is a very intelligent dude. He understands that it works to his advantage. He understands that it works in his favour, because he doesn't hide from the truth. But Game, sometimes is very impulsive. I don't fault him for that, he is still young. He will evolve into that super great thing he is destined to become."
A Fugee Reunion Looks Unlikely
Wyclef Jean feels the chances of a reunion for The Fugees are pretty slim right now. The rapper/producer is so frustrated with communicating with fellow group members Pras Michel and Lauryn Hill that he's contemplating putting together a copycat group. "The Fugees are giving me such a hard time that I'm trying to form another group with me, Akon and another girl," Jean told Melissa Rivers on 'Joan & Melissa live at The Grammy's.'

XM, Sirius Satellite Radio Announce Plans To Merge

Satellite radio giants XM and Sirius have reached an agreement to merge in an all stock deal, it was announced today (Feb. 19).
The new company, which does not yet have a name, will be worth $13 billion including debt of almost $1.6 billion dollars. XM shareholders will receive 4.6 shares of Sirius common stock for each share of XM they own.
Rappers like Eminem, Grandmaster Flash, 50 Cent and DJ Premier have channels or shows on Sirius, while XM has deals with rappers like Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli, Trick Daddy, Jermaine Dupri and others.
Under the new deal, XM and Sirius shareholders will each own approximately half of the combined company, which will be headed by Sirius' current CEO, Mel Karmazin.
"This combination is the next logical step in the evolution of audio entertainment," said Karmazin, CEO of Sirius Satellite Radio. "Together, our best-in-class management team and programming content will create unprecedented choice for consumers, while creating long-term value for shareholders of both companies. The combined company will be positioned to capitalize on Sirius' and XM's complementary distribution and licensing agreements to enhance availability of satellite radios, offer expanded content to subscribers, drive increased advertising revenue and reduce expenses."
XM and Sirius will continue to operate independently until the transaction is complete. Both companies will decide the new company's name and primary business location.
The merger still faces antitrust scrutiny from the Department of Justice.
Also, a clause in the FCC laws state that one satellite radio operator cannot own the other is expected to be a hurdle.
Analysts say the proposed merger has a 50/50 chance of passing and that the merger is likely to be opposed by the National Association of Broadcasters.
If approved, the companies expect the transaction to be completed by the end of 2007.
Buck all of ya'll

Young Buck has been in L.A., not just working with Dr. Dre on his new album Buck the World, due March 20, but also studying under the tutelage of an acting coach. Buck plans to make a movie about his life soon, and he's hoping that somewhere in the plotline will be a scene where he sells 500,000 copies in the first week.
He said that after three years on the bench, he's coming back hard — especially in the South. "It's the big payback sh-- for me," he said. "I appreciate the fans patiently waiting. That's why I worked so hard on making this another classic album. ... I got respect for them all — T.I., [Lil] Wayne, all of them — but at this point, I'm hungry for real. Between me, Wayne and T.I., we got the most anticipated albums [coming out of the South this year]. I'm trying to bust both their asses, but in a friendly way. Cause them is my n---as."
What? It's no secret that Buck is tight with Tip and Young Jeezy, who he calls his "brothers," but Weezy F? Just a few months ago, Buck was on the radio airwaves saying that he wanted to declare war on Weezy and his pa, Baby. He also clowned the two Cash Money Millionaires for kissing on the lips as a way of greeting each other.
"At the end of the day, I never said none of that sh-- behind beef," Buck clarified about his thoughts on Wayne and Baby's kissing. "It was the truth. I said it, it wasn't to create beef. I said it, but I had a chance to run into Wayne. I had a chance to see what was his take on the situation. He wasn't paying it no attention. He explained to me the meaning for [him and Baby's greeting], whatever that was, it is what it is. I ain't got no problem with nobody that ain't got no problem with me. ... We had a chance to speak about it, and it wasn't really nothing."
In fact, Buck said he's not jumping into any beefs as of right now. "I'm out in these streets for real," he said. "I'm affiliated with it, without having the illegal sh-- with it. I can't indulge myself in the so called beef situations because my sh-- is so real out here. Two weeks ago, I got pulled over. [There were] Feds and everything! They said my license was suspended. They get me down [to the police station] and want to question me about homicides. ... So at this point right now, I'm not f---ing with none of this rap beef. I'm trying to keep my head above water."
Buck said that even pertains to Cam'ron's recent feud with 50 Cent — at least for the time being. "The 50 and Cam sh--? That sh-- is funny to me," he laughed off. "I'm gonna be all the way honest. I think 50 can handle that from his own point of view. But like I said, sh-- is so real for me in the streets. ... At the end of the day, my boss, he's about capitalizing off of negative energy. When anybody brings negative energy to him, he's just a blessed child to turn it into a bank roll. F---ing with homeboy like that, you have to have your sh-- all the way together. To each his own, 'cause at the end of the day, we are on top. 50 is on top."
When he's not dealing with his own projects or G-Unit agendas, Buck Marley is working on his new label. He explains that G-Unit South is actually just a movement, but the tangible outlet he plans to put music out on is Cashville Records. The first artist he signed is California's C-Bo, and the Outlawz are in negations to join the fold as well. "My goal is to stay loyal to my crew [and] still get something for myself going," the Tennessee native said.
However, for all he said about keeping out of trouble, Buck had some on Friday night in Las Vegas during NBA All-Star weekend. He attended a party at a venue called the Ice House where Diddy and Young Jeezy hosted a party.
According to an eyewitness, Buck, who arrived at the shindig with Jeezy, got into a staredown with his old nemesis the Game, who was also at the party. Although Buck and Game didn't have the chance to get physical, our witness said the two rappers and their parties were converging at opposite sides of the DJ booth — while Jeezy was on the mic — and security had to step in between both factions. Buck and his people left shortly after, as did Game and his entourage.
Bad Boy rapper G-Dep was released from Rikers Island prison last week and is currently working on a comeback album. G. Dep, born Trevell Coleman, knocked around New York's underground scene before landing a $350,000 contract to record for Sean "Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Record label.
After several high profile appearances on albums like Black Rob’s Life Story, Diddy's Forever and The Notorious B.I.G.'s Born Again, G. Dep hit the charts in 2001 with the single "Special Delivery," which also featured a remix featuring Ghostface Killah, Keith Murray and Craig Mack.
The rapper was arrested last month, for breaking a display model mobile phone, during an argument at a T-Mobile store in Manhattan.
According to the New York Daily News, G. Dep's bail was set at $750, but he stayed on Rikers Island for almost a month, because he could not come up with the money.
G. Dep's $350,000 contract requires him to record five albums for Bad Boy. He released one album, Child of the Ghetto in 2001, but the rapper has spent most of his money.
"There's a lot of things I should have looked into," G. Dep said. "At the time, I didn't think about it too much."
G. Dep is hitting the studio this week with hopes of jump-starting his career. He is also planning a tour, as well as a new song and video.
Prodigy Says New Koch Album Is 'Just A Mixtape'

Prodigy is preparing the release of Return Of The Mac, a mixtape collaboration with The Alchemist, as a tool to promote the anticipated H.N.I.C. 2.
Although its being released through Koch Records, Prodigy maintains, the project is "just a mixtape," but is "gonna sell like an album."
The title is a nod to the once-popular gold mac chains, according to the rapper. "I ain't talking about mack," Prodigy explained. "I'm talking about mac, duns. Some people gonna think we talking about pimping, but when they figure out what we talking about, they gonna be like, 'Oh, sh--.'"
"We were watching an old video," The Alchemist continues, "and P had the mac chain on. We were just remembering the feeling we were giving people. We wanted to spark that feeling again. But we don't never go backwards. The rhymes on this is the future."
His label boss, 50 Cent, may say Koch is the graveyard for over the hill rappers, but to Prodigy is another avenue to lace his pockets and confirms that it's still G-Unit.
"G-Unit is still going down," said Prodigy. "Mobb Deep is still on G-unit with 50. He let us do our own thing with our solo career, and let us get our money." And later adds, "If somebody say G-Unot, we gonna beat the sh-- out of them."
"Stuck On You" will be the first radio single, and underground videos have been shot for "Mac 10 Handles" and "New York Sh--."The mixtape is slated for a March 27th release.

FOXY’S NEWEST VICTIM WANTS BIG PAYDAY

The Florida beauty shop owner who was allegedly on the receiving end of Foxy Brown’s latest rampage expects a large check to come his way as the result of a lawsuit he plans to file against the rapper.
"I hired a lawyer. I hope to pay off my mortgage with whatever I get," Hayssam Ghoneim tells the New York Post. "She definitely has to pay for what she did -- one way or another."
Brown was arrested last Thursday and charged with battery and obstruction of justice for her behavior at the Pembroke Pines beauty-supply shop. According to reports, the Brooklyn MC was addressing her weave situation in the store’s bathroom when Ghoneim announced that the store was closing and she would have to leave.
Brown allegedly responded by refusing to budge and tossing hair glue at Ghoneim. When he tried to call 911, Brown allegedly spat on him, staining his shirt. When cops showed up, she allegedly resisted arrest by swatting an officer’s hand away. It was also reported that cops had to use the “take down maneuver” to restrain her.

Akon Says Beyonce Once Had Eyes For Him

Akon insists he could once get any woman he wanted, including the singer on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
R&B star Akon claims Beyonce once flirted with him way back when. The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter says one perk of fame is having beautiful women throwing themselves at him.
He told Britain's Nuts magazine said, "Oh, man! Alicia Keys, Beyonce - I'm pretty lucky in that respect, but I guess it comes with the circles you find yourself in when you get success."
Akon, who claims he has three wives, insists Beyonce's boyfriend Jay-Z shouldn't be jealous because their liaison happened so long ago.
He said, "Nah, he's got plenty of other things to be concentrating on! The man has his own basketball team. I doubt he's going to be worrying about stuff in the past like that! And he sells records too, you know. "
Akon, who was born in Missouri to Senegalese parents, says British women are the most beautiful in the world.
He added, "Britain has some beautiful women - some of the most beautiful in the world. Every time I'm here, I'm amazed by them."
