In related news, 50 Cent will host an entire week of BET's long running city video show, Rap City.

Peedi Crack Speaks Freely, Jim Jones "Can't Rap," Papoose "Is Trash" & Yung Joc "Is Wack As Sh*t"

In a recent interview, State Property member Peedi Crack took shots at Yung Joc, Jibbs and New York mixtape standout, Papoose.

During the Q&A, the Philly bred rapper also addressed Jim Jones' rapping ability and business saavy while also applauding the South's dominance of the industry.

"They are working it and they doing it independently. Them ni**as don't wait on the label to do nothing. Them ni**as been through it all. Do you know how hard it's been for down South to get into the game? That's why I ain't mad at them. They deserve this time, they deserve the shine, let them air it out."

"I always liked Trick Daddy and ni**as like that. I like South ni**as. I ain't gon' say down South is corny, just the mainstream ni**as," he continued, "the ones that try to make them radio joints. Like f**king Yung Joc, he's wack as sh*t! Jibbs, that ni**a wack. Jibbs is horrible"

One of Peedi's associates would interrupt his rant saying Jibbs "is only sixteen" but the Philly rapper would still cling to his opinion.

"So what? He's wack!" stressed Peedi. "He could be nine, that ni**a wack. You know who else is corny for the record? Papoose is horrible, I don't give a f**k what anybody talk about. Papoose is trash."

"Pap, you garbage," Peedi added, pointing to the camera. "Ain't no disrespect to you dog but it's business. Shout out to Kay Slay, I know he's your old head. I f**k with Kay Slay. They be beefing this ni**a like he's that ni**a. That ni**a is horrible, my son rap better than you."

"My son's five years old , he'll murk you" he continued. "I don't know why Jadakiss did a song with that ni**a , Kiss you trippin'"

Surprisingly, Peedi who dissed Jim Jones and Julez Santana late last year, supported the Dipset Capo's business skills despite criticizing his lyrical ability.

"Jim can't rap but he's one helluva business man," said Peedi. "Jim used to rap better back in the day. I heard some old s**t back when Jim was with Cam'ron and Cam was fat as s**t. Jim was murking that s**t . Now he don't be murking that s**t, he be making some whatever s**t. He making that cake so I ain't mad at him. Helluva business man, straight up".

According to Peedi, his debut album will be dropping this summer via Rocafella/Def Jam.

Foxy Brown Talks "Black Roses"

It's been six years since she's dropped an album, but with the release of a new album and mixtape on the horizon, rapper Foxy Brown is primed for a comeback. The as-yet-untitled mixtape will hit the streets in June, followed Sept. 6 by the album "Black Roses," which will be released on Brown's new label of the same name.

"No disrespect to anyone, but gear up baby, because when I come, it's over," Brown tells Billboard.com in an exclusive interview. "This album is going to be a lyrical testimony of everything I've gone through and survived the last couple of years. It's just incredible."

Though Brown declined to reveal details, she did disclose she plans on collaborating with Jay-Z, Spragga Benz, Baby Cham and a few other unexpected acts. "I'm a huge fan of Amy Winehouse and Bjork," she confesses about two of the people she hopes to work with for the project.

According to Brown, who recently recovered from hearing loss and has been in and out of court following a dispute with a nail salon worker for the past year, "Black Roses," named after a Barrington Levy song by the same name, is a testament to the hardships she's faced in the music industry.

"I feel like I've had to fight that much harder than [Lil'] Kim and Lauryn [Hill] and Missy [Elliott]. But God took away my hearing for a reason -- to trip me down and build me back up and come back into this business right," Brown says.

"Barrington told me he was inspired to write 'Black Roses' when he went to Africa and there, in a garden, amongst a thousand beautiful flowers, he saw one black rose that was withered and broken, and how tourists would fly in from all over the world to take pictures of it," she continues. "I have to save some lives, and that's what 'Black Roses' is officially for. That's why the title is so perfect."

In addition, Brown recently inked a management deal with Black Hand Entertainment and plans on signing a few West Indian acts to her new label.

Lil' Flip Working On New Reality Show 'The American Rapper'

Shortly after the release of his latest effort I Need Mine, Houston rapper Lil' Flip is taking his chances in the reality TV world with his show The American Rapper.

The American Rapper will follow contestants as Lil' Flip teaches them the tricks of the trade including essentials like interviewing and networking skills.

"A lot of these reality shows is kind of a mockery of Hip-Hop," Lil' Flip told AHH. "With my show I'm gonna try to find a rapper, they get a two album deal, a chain and money. I'm teaching 'em media training. How to handle interviews, what not to say and do. How to talk to people and network, how to run commercial spots, how to construct a song, attitudes."

In the end, Lil' Flip will decide which contestant will be crowned as the American rapper.

"People think nowadays that if you're the greatest rapper then you're going to be famous," Lil' Flip told AHH. "You could be the greatest rapper, but have a s***ty attitude, and don't nobody wanna f**k with you. So I'm going to 10 states, New York, Chicago, Vegas, Houston, Dallas and a few other places. I'm gonna find the best people, then eliminate and chop them in half. It's gonna pretty cool."

Lil' Flip's latest album I Need Mine was released March of this year and reached #14 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

IT’S NOW OFFICIAL – ANIKA NONI ROSE CROWNED ‘PRINCESS’

Last month, actress Anika Noni Rose was hesitant to break out the champagne and start toasting premature news of her casting in Walt Disney’s upcoming animated musical, “The Frog Princess,” as it was then called.

Well now, it’s official. The studio has announced that Rose, who starred opposite Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson in "Dreamgirls," will voice the lead character of Princess Tiana in Disney’s "The Princess and the Frog," as it is called now.

Criticism is already surrounding the project, Disney’s first animated feature with a black princess. Tiana’s name was originally Maddy, but the suits at Disney reportedly changed it after receiving complaints that Maddy sounded too much like a slave name.

There have also been gripes about the description of Tiana being a chambermaid, and that her love interest is a European prince.

Set in the fabled French Quarter of New Orleans during the 1920s, "The Princess and the Frog" is slated for a holiday 2009 release nationwide. Rose, meanwhile, will be seen next week opposite Debra Messing and Joe Mantagna in USA Network's miniseries "The Starter Wife." Rose also co-stars with Danny DeVito in the comedy "One Part Sugar."

N.O.R.E. To Release New Album Independently;

When most people think of N.O.R.E., the word "pioneer" might not come to mind. But the Queens, New York, rapper was one of the first artists to work with both Swizz Beatz and the Neptunes before the producers reached multiplatinum success.

And now, with his forthcoming album, Global Warming 11368, due in late summer, you can add another first to N.O.R.E.'s list.

"I think I got the first T-Pain record without him using the voice-box thing," he said, laughing. "The dude can actually sing without it. That's his trademark, so I guess he's sticking with it. But I didn't care what he gave me. I was a big T-Pain fan before he blew up, so I was just excited, and he did it in such a prompt time. He got it right back to me. He's just a real person. He said he wanted to work with me, I said I wanted to work with you. So I referenced the hook [for him], and he sent it right back to me. He really kept it real. So big up to him for that."

N.O.R.E. is going to need plenty of favors like that to make his album a success. Global Warming 11368 is his first project since parting ways with Def Jam earlier this year to go independent. The album title is a reference to his pursuit of worldly sounds through reggaetón (Global Warming) and his attempt to remember his grittier roots (11368 is his native LeFrak City, Queens, zip code).

N.O.R.E. has recruited old friends Swizz and Pharrell, along with Bun B, Kurupt, Jadakiss and Scott Storch, who produced the T-Pain collabo "I Want (a Girlfriend)."

Although N.O.R.E. is set on putting out the album himself, he said he's been surprised by the tabloid-like rumor mill surrounding possible future label homes.

"It's crazy," he said. "I know that people know I'm a free agent, but when they see me with T.I. — I was just kicking it with him on the 'Make It Rain' video set — the next day it says [on the Internet], 'He's with Grand Hustle!' It's powerful, man."

For now, though, N.O.R.E. said that the rumors of him signing anywhere — Grand Hustle, the Inc., etc. — are all false.

"Maybe the rumors will help us talk about it later," he said, laughing. "But I want to do it on my own. I really want to take a chance. I'mma go out there and bug out. If I fall on my face, I don't got anyone to blame but me. If I get up and get next to God [it's so good], like he's in 15A and I'll be on 14B, then I can take credit for that. I'm only 29, but I feel like I'm too old in this game to be a person to complain about record labels. So I'mma go out there and get mine."

Memphis Rapper, Tela, Wanted for Unpaid Child Support
Rapper Tela, a Memphis native, is wanted in his hometown for some $128,000 in unpaid child support.

According to a report from Memphis’ Eyewitness News, Tela—whose real name is Winston Rogers—has failed to pay support in over five years. The warrant was issued after he failed to appear in Memphis & Shelby County Juvenile Court to explain the reason for the lapse.

“We’ve been looking pretty much everywhere trying to identify where he is or where he might be,” says Mitch Morgan, Child Support Director of the Memphis & Shelby County Juvenile Court. “Even to the extent where we thought he was going be here doing a concert in Memphis.” Tela’s attorney, Arthur Horn, attributes his client’s failure to pay to a lack of income over the last five years due to a dispute with his record label.

According to Horn, the issue has now been resolved and Rogers plans to return to Memphis soon and “clear up the mess.”
