25 year old man who reportedly had ties to rapper Fabolous was stabbed to death at a New York club on Thanksgiving night (November 22).
According to CBS 2 HD, Shamal McKinney and his brother partied with Fabolous and friends at Club Duvet on Thursday night.
At around 3:30 a.m., McKinney staggered out of the club with wounds in his torso and encountered officers who were called to the plush nightspot for an unrelated incident. McKinney died on arrival at St. Vincent's Hospital.
McKinney’s brother refused to speak on his sibling’s murder but revealed that Fabolous was long gone before the stabbing occurred.
Authorities found a bloody knife in a dumpster near the club and have not revealed a motive behind the killing. No suspects have been named or arrested.
“Words cannot express how much we're going to miss him,” said McKinney’s godmother, Zella Robinson.
“He was a happy, happy person,” stressed McKinney’s aunt, Shirley Hartman. “ I'm just sorry it had to happen to a good person.”
The club’s owners refused to comment on the incident.

Shortly after his mother was laid to rest in Oklahoma, news surfaced that rap artist Kanye West is selling his vacant Beverly Hills home of nine months.
The artist, who attended funeral services for his mother Donda West on Tuesday, has placed the house at 631 N. Crescent on the market for $8.699 million, according to the blog Real Estalker.
He purchased the property in February for $7,150,000 but never moved in, the website reports.
The six-bedroom house on the 0.79-acre lot has four baths and is in what is called tear-down condition. The sale price also includes plans to build a new house on the property.
Public records show that West reportedly transferred the house title to his KWLA International LLC company in August.
Busta Rhymes To Drop Unreleased Collabos With The Late J. Dilla Via New Mixtape
Busta Rhymes has teamed up with Cleveland DJ, Mick Boogie, for a new digital mixtape honoring the late, great producer J. Dilla.
Both Busta and Mick were excited when agreeing to collaborate for the project, titled Dillagence. The DJ was the first to come up with the idea and Busta was with it from the beginning.
"When I called Busta with this idea, he was so excited," said Mick Boogie. "One day I woke up and my inbox was flooded with songs and songs of crazy Busta/Dilla material. I'm honored to be a part of this project."
"When Mick brought this concept to the table, I felt the timing was right. Dilla left so much incredible music behind with me personally," added Busta Rhymes. "It's almost like he knew I was a vessel for him, and would be able to continue to champion his movement."
The mixtape will feature exclusive songs produced by Dilla for Busta that have never seen the light of day, according to the DJ.
It also features guest appearances by Papoose, Cassidy, Talib Kweli, M.O.P. and Rah Digga, among others.
Dillagence will be available online at MickBoogie.com on November 27.
DrJays.com Pulls All Gang Related Apparel
Online urban apparel retailer, Dr. Jay's, said Wednesday (November 21) that they will no longer carry or sell any items deemed to be associated with, or endorsing gang paraphernalia.
According to the New York Post, New York city lawmakers warned parents on Monday (November 19) that their kids could get shot and killed over the colors and slogans from the clothing their buying.
One of the sites carrying the clothing in question is DrJays.com.
Interns from Councilman Leroy Comrie's office recently bought t-shirts with gang slogans like "Never Snitch Ever" and "Respect the Shooter" from several businesses, including Dr. Jay's.
"Dr. Jay's retail stores do not have any of the products in question," said the company's vice president. "We have contacted our buyers of the Dr. Jays.com website, and they are removing or already have removed all of the inappropriate merchandise from this company."
The paper reports that the shirts were made by AKA Stash House, who says they will no longer be made next year.

In this week's Hip-Hop and R&B Charts, Alicia Keys has a monster No. 1 debut, Jay-Z's American Gangster slips to the No. 8 spot, Chris Brown holds on to the Top 10 and Boyz II Men's homage to Motown nabs No. 27 in its first week out.
Alicia Keys scored the year's second-highest debut - behind only Kanye West's Graduation - with her third release As I Am, according to Neilsen's SoundScan. The album pushed 742,400 copies in its first week off the strength of the No. 1 single "No One."
Jay-Z slips 7 spots to No. 8, pushing 130,600 copies of American Gangster, the return to the streets inspired by the movie of the same name. Last week's No. 1 opening tied Jay-Z with Elvis for their 10 No. 1 debuts, second only to The Beatles. The God MC's two-week total stands at 556,400.
Chris Brown falls six spots to No. 10 with his sophomore album Exclusive, which pushed 109,600 copies in its second week on the charts. The self-proclaimed "Prince of R&B" has moved 404,600 units with a little help from guests The Game, Big Boi, Lil' Wayne and Kanye West, plus the digitally enhanced T-Pain on the hit single "Kiss Kiss."
Keyshia Cole falls five spots to No. 26 with her sophomore album Just Like You, which sold 44,900 copies this week, a 16 percent increase over last week's total. After eight weeks, the songstress has sold 622,900 copies.
Boyz II Men, minus bass Michael McCary, debuted at No. 27 this week, pushing 41,700 copies of their album Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA, which covers classics by Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, The Jackson 5 and Smokey Robinson and features an appearance from Patti LaBelle.
Soulja Boy dropped four spots to No. 29 this week, cranking out 35,600 copies of his debut disc Souljaboytellem.com. After seven weeks, the 17-year-old "Teen of da South" has moved 337,000 copies.
Kanye West fell eight spots to No. 34, selling 30,400 copies of Graduation. After 10 weeks, the rapper-producer who recently lost his mother, Dr. Donda West, has sold 1,674,600 copies of his third album.
Will Fergie ever drop out of the Top 50? The answer, apparently, is not any time soon. After 61 weeks on the charts, The Black Eyed Pea singer turned solo artist fell 7 spots to No. 38, but enjoyed an 8 percent increase in sales with her album The Dutchess, moving 28,100 copies. The album's sales total stands at 2,930,900 copies.
Timbaland plummets 17 spots to No. 50 this week, with 22,400 copies of his solo effort Shock Value. After 33 weeks, the super producer has sold 856,700 copies.
Double-time rhymers Bone Thugs-N-Harmony debuted at No. 73 with T.H.U.G.S., a compilation of previously unreleased material, which sold 15,200 in its first week out.
Next week look for Freeway and Mike Jones to make an appearance on the Hip-Hop and R&B Charts.

All is well
You are enough, just as you are. This moment is enough, just as it is.
Everything you truly value is with you always. The power you seek is yours when you choose to act.
Those things that seem to limit you and challenge you can also create a path to greater strength. Right now you are already connected to your greatest possibilities.
Your achievements and successes do not make you who you are. They are some of the ways in which you most sincerely and lovingly express who you are.
The disappointments and setbacks do not take anything away from the value of your life. They give you the opportunity to more fully understand, appreciate and expand that value.
Whatever is happening, all is well. Everything that is, is yours to experience, to value, to love and to fulfill.

According to msn, 50 Cent thinks it's good Kanye is touring again.
"That's really an unfortunate situation and I hope he can work his way through it," 50 told The Associated Press in an interview Tuesday. "It's good to see him actually touring: You can work your way back into a comfortable space where you can deal with those situations."
As has been widely reported, Kanye and 50 faced off in the sales battle of 2007 September 11 when both of their new albums were released on the same day. Kanye ended up selling more than 50 and debuted at #1 the following week. Despite this, 50 Cent sees why this is such a tragic moment for West.
"...I can definitely understand how that's a huge loss, and how that would be, and then (Kanye's) relationship with his mom had a lot more depth to it than a lot of people's. He was real close to his mom" said 50.
And while 50 Cent fired several shots at Kanye West during their sales war in September and even mocked West recently at concert appearances, 50 insists there is no beef between the two.
"I never viewed him as an actual enemy; what I was trying to do is build a competition" stated 50.
Put it to use
A gift that is fully used is a gift that is truly appreciated. If you are sincerely thankful for the abundance in your life, then make something beautiful out of it.
Don't make the mistake of hoarding or hiding away those things for which you are most thankful. For if you keep them stashed away in the dark, they will fade away into nothing.
Instead, keep your abundance out in the open where you can give it life from moment to moment. The more you make use of it, the more valuable it will become.
Go beyond merely counting your blessings. Take them out, immerse yourself in their value, and bring them more fully to life each day.
What you're able to make use of most passionately and effectively will then come to you in even greater abundance. The best way to be thankful for anything is to completely and purposefully put it to use.
The abundance you experience today is but a mere seed of what can be. With each moment, nourish that seed and be amazed at how magnificently it can grow.

In a recent interview, Budden say's that his new mixtape "Mood Musik will probably sell more than Saigon’s debut album." Looks like Budden might be in the headlines a little longer.
”When it’s time for the album to come out, Saigon will learn the hard way. I’ll probably sell more of Mood Musik than Saigon will sell of his album, and that’s realistically speaking. Don’t get it fucked up. I have all the love and respect in the world for Saigon as an artist, but once you try to discredit me, you should at least try to get the facts straight." Said Joe.
In response to a blog Saigon posted on his myspace page, where he stated that he was going to "Smack the Earth Wind and Fire" out of Budden, because of a BET freestyle that Budden did where Saigon felt targeted, Joe said:
“When I made the line, I wasn’t trying to diss him and it’s unfortunate that he took it that way. And however he wants to handle it from this point on, we can handle it that way." He also said “I don’t really give two shits about this. If he wants to approach me, that’s fine with me. If he wants to talk about this civilly, that’s fine with me also. If he wants to handle this on wax, that’s fine with me also."
Despite some of the remarks Budden did say that he respected Saigon as an artist and did not have a problem with him.
During the interview Buddens also discussed underground rapper Ransoms third diss track titled "The End of Joe Budden" where Ransom vehemently calls Budden gay.
Despite the track Buddens stated that he would not bother coming out with another track responding “I don’t blame him. I blame his engineer and I blame his entourage for that. When you’re trying to discredit somebody and battle somebody, repeating yourself for five minutes at the end of the record doesn’t really get the job done, especially when you’re calling somebody gay. When you’re doing that you sound like Wendy Williams.
That’s like when you’re in elementary school and kids tell mother jokes. Ransom knows that I’m not gay. That’s something so childish that I won’t even dignify that. Ransom knows the caliber of females that I keep around. He used to ask me for advice about how I did it. On the second diss record, I had a girlfriend that everyone was trying to fuck. Then on the third record, I’m a faggot or I’m bisexual. You’re confusing me, Ransom.
Budden went on to say that he holds no grudges against Ransom personally but that he would "never work with him again"

Black Mafia Family Kingpin Pleads Guilty To Money Laundering, Drug Charges
The leader of the Black Mafia Family (BMF) plead guilty yesterday (November 20) to heading a criminal enterprise including drug distribution and money laundering.
BMF honcho Demetrius Flenory, also known as Big Meech, entered his guilty plea in United States District Court in Detroit, the city from which he hails, before Judge Avern Cohn, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration's official website.
The 39-year-old drug king pin said that from 1990 through 2005 he led BMF in large scale distribution of controlled substances, mainly cocaine, collecting millions of dollars in cash off the sales of narcotics.
He washed the money in real estate purchases and bought vehicles and jewelry with the cash
According to the terms of the plea bargain, Flenory agreed to pay back $270,000,000 and faces 30 years in prison. A sentencing hearing has not been set.
Flenory's brother, Terry Flenory and five other defendants are still scheduled for trial on November 26. 41 defendants have been indicted along with the brothers and 32 have pleaded guilty.
As previously reported, Jacob the Jeweler (born Jacob Arobov) was arrested on charges of conspiring to commit money laundering of reportedly up to $270 million for BMF through his Jacob & Co. business. He plead to a lesser charge.

Dr. Jan Adams Cancels Appearance On Larry King Live
In a surprising move, Dr. Jan Adams, the doctor who performed cosmetic surgery on Dr. Donda West the day before her death, cancelled his appearance on Larry King Live tonight (Nov. 20) in front of live cameras.
The show opened with Larry King telling viewers that approximately 40 minutes prior to going on air, Dr. Jan Adams received a letter from West family representatives cautioning him about going on-air and discussing matters relating to Dr. Donda West or the West family. West representatives said that if he did, they would seek to have him decertified as a plastic surgeon in California.
King said that Adams was in the green room discussing whether or not he would appear on the show with his lawyer. Prior to going to break, King said that Adams would join the show in the next segment.
As the next segment opened, Adams was live on-air with Larry King and said that out of respect for the West family, he would not discuss Dr. Donda West or the West family. King respected these wishes and asked where things go from here.
"I will talk with them. When they are comfortable, I'll be comfortable. If they are never comfortable, I'll never be comfortable" said Adams.
King then said "don't you want to speak out?" and Adams said "no" and proceeded to leave the set while still live on-air.
NE-YO KICKED OFF OF R. KELLY TOUR
Ne-Yo was informed Monday that he was being permanently removed from his supporting slot on R. Kelly's current Double Up tour, despite overwhelmingly positive reviews received from "entertainment reporters, music critics, bloggers, fans, and concert goers," read a statement from Ne-Yo's rep.
A contractual dispute is the tour's official reason for Ne-Yo's departure. But according to camp Ne-Yo, Kelly fired the singer because he "brought too much heat" for Kelly to compete against.
"He's written hit songs for Beyonce ("Irreplaceable") and Rihanna ("Unfaithful"), spending a combined 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100, said Ne-Yo's business partner and manager, Tango, in a statement. "He's written songs slated to be on Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, and Enrique Iglesias' new albums. …The fans were really feeling his performances. He's good; maybe he's too good – that's the problem."
Ne-Yo adds: "I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing. In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success. I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you; and they were really feeling our show. …To my fans and ticket holders – I apologize if you are disappointed," he said.
TIMBALAND GETS ENGAGED, BECOMES A DADDY
It's a baby girl for music producer Timbaland and his girlfriend of two years, publicist Monique Idlett, reports People magazine.
The couple, who also plan to get married within the next year, welcomed their first child together a couple of days ago, a source told the publication.
Timbaland, born Timothy Z. Mosley, proposed to 33-year-old Idlett at their baby shower in October. This will be the first marriage for both, People reports.
"They're both really happy together," says the source. "They've known each other for years."
Twista To Celebrate 34th Birthday With His 5th Annual Celebrity Weekend In Chicago
Chicago rapper, Twista, is gearing up for his 5th Annual Celebrity Weekend, a annual two-day event that coincides with the rapper's birthday.
The quick-tongued rapper, who will turn 34 years old on November 27th, will kick-off the weekend on Friday, November 23th, with side-splitting humor at the Twista's Comedy Explosion Show, hosted by Lisa E, and featuring all-star hometown favorites B. Cole and Ill Will, in addition to national acts Michael Blackston and MTV's Kevin Hart.
On Saturday, November 24th, DJ Drama and Mr. BET, DJ Sean Mac, will complete the actual birthday party for Twista at Chi-Town nightclub Crossroads, which is expected to have a few surprise performances.
Twista just finished up shooting a video for his next single, "Wrist Stay Rocky," from his latest release, Adrenaline Rush 2007.
The Chicago native has a long history in hip-hop. With seven albums under his belt and a string of hits, it's fair to say that Twista is truly a veteran. From his humble beginnings in 1991, which began with his debut album Runnin' Off At Da Mouth, to platinum success with his Atlantic Records debut Kamikaze, he's been through it all and is still here to talk about.
Also, at one point, Twista held the Guinness Record for being the fastest rapper in the world.
Always know that what other people think of you is their own concern, not yours. Do what you know is right, and fully accept that others will think what they will think.
Certainly it is valuable to make a good impression. Keep in mind, though, that the best way to make a good impression is not to worry endlessly about what others think.
The way to make the best impression is to be authentic. Allow the goodness that is within you to shine through your genuine courtesy, kindness, respect and consideration.
By caring so much about receiving validation from others, you prevent yourself from getting it. Instead, share your real value with those around you and that value will be clear for all to see.
Don't waste your time and effort keeping up appearances. Put your attention and energy into real solid substance, and your appearance will take care of itself.
The more you strive to make a good impression, the less successful you'll be at doing so. Just relax and be yourself, and you'll be truly and authentically impressive.

Attorneys for the 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, filed motions Monday in U.S. District Court seeking to suppress evidence seized from his vehicle and statements he made on the day of his Oct. 13 arrest.
The attorneys allege the vehicle was searched without a warrant, consent or probable cause. They also allege that Harris' detention might not have been proper, statements he made to authorities may not have been voluntary, and agents may have failed to honor his rights.
The motions didn't elaborate on the basis for the legal challenges, but said more details would be filed later.
There was no immediate ruling by a judge. A spokesman for federal prosecutors didn't immediately respond to an e-mail and phone call Tuesday seeking comment.
Authorities say Harris tried to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers in midtown Atlanta about an hour before a scheduled performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. They say he already had three guns in his car, including one that was loaded.
Harris faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each weapons charge.
He is free on bond, but is under house arrest. A pretrial conference was scheduled Wednesday.
The rapper had asked to host a Thanksgiving Day gathering at the home where he's staying, but the plan was scrapped after the government opposed it. His bond conditions require court approval of visitors.
A charity event he is sponsoring to give turkey dinners to the needy will go on Thursday, but Harris won't be there, according to one of his record labels.
According to Access Hollywood, Kanye arrived at the True Vine Ministry church flanked by friends and family for the private service. Donda West’s coffin arrived at the church, which holds around 2500 people, in an all white hearse, and was brought to the cemetery.
Soul legend Anita Baker and G.O.O.D. Music recording artist John Legend performed during the service, and several stars, including Jay-Z and Beyonce were also reportedly in attendance.
Donda West passed away on November 10 following a cosmetic surgical procedure. She was 58 years old.
Suge Knight To Be Included In Notorious B.I.G. Wrongful Death Suit
The long running wrongful death lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles filed by the family of the late Notorious B.I.G. is expected to be amended soon, in which several other defendants will be included. One name stands out: Suge Knight.
According to the Associated Press, U.S. District Court Judge Florence-Marie Cooper ruled Friday (November 16) the lawsuit may be amended because of newly discovered evidence. Aside from Knight, former police officer Rafael Perez and other current and former members of the Los Angeles Police Department may also be included as defendants.
The family of the Notorious B.I.G. (real name: Christopher Wallace) filed the suit seeking damages from the city for allegedly covering up evidence which would have led to the arrests of the rapper's killers. They accuse the Los Angeles Police Department, and specifically Perez' former patrol partner, David Mack, of responsibility for Wallace's death.
Mack and Perez have been long rumored to be the men behind B.I.G.'s death, working as freelancers for Suge Knight. Both men, as well as Knight, have long denied any involvement in the killing.
New evidence shows that Perez was on duty the night of B.I.G.'s slaying and may have been at the scene. It also supports the addition of Knight and Wright into the suit.
Thomas Reichert, an attorney for the city, said the new evidence was "old wine, new bottles." Knight's attorneys Laurence Strick and Daniel J. McCarthy could not be reached for comment.
The Notorious B.I.G. was just 24 when he was gunned down in March of 1997. He was attending a music industry party at Los Angeles' Petersen Automotive Museum, when he was shot in the passenger seat of an SUV while leaving.
His murder remains unsolved.
Return Of The Roc Boyz
Although Jay-Z, Freeway and Beanie Sigel are presently rebuilding the Roc-A-Fella dynasty with fourth quarter releases, Memphis Bleek, the first artist signed to the label, is also activating his art. The 27 year-old rapper is generating buzz by way of The Roc Boys mixtape, celebrating the label's legacy.
Bleek told reporters about the mixtape's significance. "[Roc Boys] should be coming out this Friday. If not this Friday, next week for sure. Hosted by man DJ Green Lantern and Lenny S. This is just a tape of us putting the team back together. The whole Roc Boys squad." The Brooklyn veteran added that the "squad" would include the usual suspects, as well as newcomers Tru-Life, Uncle Murda and Jadakiss. According to Bleek, "We letting everybody know we got an arsenal squad, and we coming to take over again."
While the mixtape anticipates buzz, Memphis Bleek is hard at work on his very purposeful sixth album. "I titled it The Process because I just want to let people know it's a process you got to go through in order take the number one spot. I had to know what it took to be number one; sittin' in the back so long, watchin' my man Jay do it for so long." Still signed to Def Jam, no official release dates have been confirmed. "It's just whenever the people need me. I'm just gonna keep releasing records, until it become a hot demand in the public for Bleek. And that's when the album's gonna drop."
Memphis Bleek's last album, 534, was released in 2005.
Juice Crew Film In The Works
A film about one of Hip-Hop's most storied collectives, The Juice Crew, is scheduled to begin production in January of 2008. The movie, entitled The Vapors, after Biz Markie's 1988 hit of the same name, will be directed by Furqaan Clover.
Actress Keke Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee, Madea's Family Reunion) has been cast as Roxanne Shante, while Clifton Powell (Ray, Norbit) will play the part of DJ Mr. Magic. Clover's previous credits include Queen of Media, a biopic of Hip-Hop radio personality Wendy Williams, which is currently in post-production.
In addition to helping launch the careers of artists such as Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante, Biz Markie, Kool G. Rap and Masta Ace, the Juice Crew was known for MC Shan's infamous feud with KRS-One. Juice Crew producer and former head of Cold Chillin' Records Marley Marl is said to have a role in production along with Big Daddy Kane.
Lupe Fiasco Talks Collaboration With Fall Out Boy
Most wouldn't expect to here Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump producing for a highly anticipated Hip-Hop album. Nevertheless, this is happening as Stump is collaborating with Lupe Fiasco for Fiasco's upcoming The Cool album.
"I love how this one worked," he said. "We had a few snags, but in general, it was awesome, because I got to ask him about feel, like, 'What type of vibe do you want for this song?' And then I got to hear him take it to different places. I didn't have to steer too much, which is awesome. ... And I didn't sing on [the track], so this is a real test to see if I can make real music without my voice."
Lupe later spoke about the new album and what folks can expect to hear.
"['Superstar' is] a macabre record...I took elements and compared them to other elements. Like, you'll see news footage of an execution, and you'll see people standing outside a death chamber with signs [that say], 'Yeah, Kill Him!' And those are the kind of things you see when you go to shows too. So it was putting those things together and then coming up with a weird story, like, 'What if getting into heaven were like getting into a club — a posh, super-hot club?' So it's kind of a dark record, but the bigness of the hook makes it this weird little thing."
Lupe's new album, The Cool, is set to be released December 18
Ghostface Films Scene For Iron Man Movie
In a new interview with MTV, Wu-Tang MC Ghostface talks about his cameos in two upcoming Hollywood movies.
Ghost also shot a scene for the upcoming biopic spoof Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, a comedy starring John C. Reiley. “We had a bugged-out scene in there, with me, Jewel, Lyle Lovett, and we did a track,” he explained to MTV. “It was crazy though. … I’mma start doing a lot of [acting] in the next year. My character on the screen is incredible. Acting is nothing for me, man. It’s all an act. Rap is cool, but acting, that’s my star. When you get me in front of a camera, it’s a whole different aura.”
Jermaine Dupri Launches Blog For Huffington Post
Jermaine Dupri has launched a blog with The Huffington Post and is sounding off against iTunes.
Titled A Good Album is More than Just a Collection of Singles, Dupri's second blog addressed Jay-Z's recent decision to not allow iTunes to sell tracks from his new album "American Gangster" individually.
Dupri went on to discuss how the industry is allowing consumers too much of what they want, too soon. You can read the full blog here.
Snoop Dogg Returns With New Album March 2008
Snoop Dogg is set to release his ninth solo LP, "Ego Trippin," in March 2008 through Doggystyle/Geffen.
The premiere single, produced by Shawty Redd, titled "Sensual Seduction," is an ode to the early eighties. The catchy up-tempo showcases Snoop’s talents in a completely different capacity, unlike anything we have ever heard from the rap veteran.
The video for the single was directed by Melina, known for her vibrant hued and fantasy-like shots (Eve “Tambourine, Ludacris “Money Maker”). The video takes viewers back to the early eighties and pays homage to some of Snoop’s favorite artists like Roger Troutman, Rick James, Prince and others from that time. Taking a cue from the era when music was all about having fun, the video showcases video vixens channeling the Mary Jane Girls and Vanity 6, while Snoop plays the leading man.
Snoop says, "Sensual Seduction is like a throwback feel-good song. I wanted to have fun with this one….and the video is crazy!”
The video for Sensual Seduction will be world premiering on TRL as well as joining forces with Rhapsody to do a "Pod Takeover" on Wednesday, November 28th as well as receive an All Day Premier on MTV2 as an Unleashed, part of TRL’s Spankin New Lyric Week. On November 29th, Snoop will personally deliver and premiere it on BET’s 106 & Park and it will air on MTV’s Sucker Free.

The teen rapper, son of hip-hop mogul Master P, is following in his father's footsteps, who also tried his hand at basketball when he tried out with two NBA teams in the 1990s.
Romeo (real name: Percy Romeo Miller) signed national letters of intent to attend USC on Monday, along with DeMar DeRoza, another local standout, at a news conference held at The Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills.
"This is the most important thing I've had to do and hopefully it sends a message to kids across the country that education is more important than money," Romeo said at the news conference. "Getting a college scholarship is more important than winning an American Music Award, and I plan to be the best student-athlete I can be at USC."
Romeo is currently a senior guard at Beverly Hills High who averaged 13.9 points and 5.6 assists last season.
One recruiting service ranks Miller, a 6-0, 170-pounder, among the top 15 prep point guards in the country, according to the AP.
The news of Romeo joining USC's Trojans came in April when the young rapper said he would put his music career on hold while he goes on to attend college and play basketball (see "Rapper Romeo To Join USC's Trojans Basketball Team").
"That's the type of stuff that I'm proud of and excite me rather than how many records he sells or how many TV shows he's on," Master P told reporters in a recent interview about his son's decision to attend college.

Saigon Announces He’s Quitting Rap
Monday, November 19, 2007
You see I got into rap a very very long time ago, I didnt do it to become rich, I didnt do it to become famous, I did it because it was a way for me to vent about the bad things that were happening around me, It was therapy for me so to speak…..Ive realized now that sooo many people have gotten into Hip Hop, whether the business aspect or otherwise, its not really for me anymore…First of all, people need to know that I am a contraversal person period, before I ever was in a magazine, on T.V. in a studio, I was very very deep in the street shit…Contraversy has always followed me, Its unfortunate but it is what it is…Its my life…I dont try to start shit to cause contraversy, its the Media, the press and yall who eat off contraversy who start the shit, try to make me look wild or out of control when Im just being myself….I cant take turning on a computer and seeing my name being thrown around in all kinds of ways, Its not good for me, and not good for these writers, I am accident prone for life, I will take a page out of the Wu Tang book and beat the shit outta one of yall man, youre playing with fire.. Should I post my Rap Sheet on the internet for yall dummies..Im not a regular dude. I never signed up for this so Im stepping away from this fake shit…..I did a interview on Shade45, the interview was 2 hours long mind you, we talked about EVERYTHING from what we need to do as a people to get on track to economizing and everything but you know whats on all the so called media outlets in boldface as the headline, ‘Saigon Disses Whoever’…You know what part of a 2 hr interview they replay? Me saying something about a person…If I woulda said, Ill slap John Hardy Hawkins for his role in the Slave trade, they would never put it in boldface or re run it 1000 times, but If I say Ill slap a rapper or something, Its the headline news of the day….Thats ass backwards to me so Im done…No more interviews, no more mixtapes, no nothing….Im not a rapper anymore, Im done.. Im back to being regular me…This shit is too fake for me, I found myself getting caught up in the bullshit but now Ill gladly walk away…These people are so predictable that to prove to my niggas who would say my buzz was dying or whatever, I would say ‘oh yeah’, watch this, then for fun, I would just do an interview and make a comment about someone because I knew they would run back like little bitches who instigate something to get the people talking. Then walah, youre buzz is back, (nevermind the 10 great new songs you just put out)..But its not fun anymore…I look at the Prodigy incident, that started not because of anything but these media outlets…He told me to suck his dick in an INTERVIEW..Then it becomes physical, we both coulda got shot, stabbed or even killed…Had I been with my crew somebody wouldve died in there all over something that started in an INTERVIEW. Then the same people who instigated it would be talking about how senseless we are..I dont give a fuck if nobody ever does a story on me again..I dont rap anymore, I dont need it anymore… I no longer have to keep pretending to be a certain way to care about a radio spin, or an interview, so I can address these people when I see them like I BEEEEN wanting to, and thats unbiased. NO MOREASS KISSING FOR ME. (Thank God)All of that trying to be politically correct bullshit is just that, bullshit..There is no honor amongst theives…Now I can say what the fuck I want, when I want, however I the fuck I want without people feeling like they have the right to ridicule me, judge me and talk slick about me because I have that word “rapper” attached to me, or because Im a “rapper” who supposed to know how to talk to these fake ass media people who really dont give 2 fucks about hip hop or black culture period. How many of these outlets are owned by black people anyway? I know alot of people dont give a fuck about me stepping away, some people might but so what, its a wrap…Some people will say I was wack anyway lol, or I never had punchlines or funny metaphores anyway, but that wasnt my thing anyway….I left enough great music behind for people to understand I was good at rapping, thats all I ever wanted out of it, But now Im back on my bullshit…I have no KIDS, I have nothing to lose. My purpose for even starting this was trying to get black people out of the stages of deaf, dumb and blindness and with the way of the world today thats a fight I probably couldve never won anyway…I wouldve given my life trying to save my people and died in vein like alot of people did…And to that rapper thats throwing my name around, U must be retarted or like hospital food or something, we have BEEF homie, not rap beef, beef beef..I have nothing more to say about that….Fuck this bum ass rap game anyway, its full of fake ass niggaz who pump poison to the kids, make a few dollars and act like theyre larger then life when they know their music is detrimental to their fucking communities, If it aint about sex, its about drugs or violence, where are the songs about getting an eduacation, or being responsible parents and shit, or stopping the Gang Violence…This shit is sickening……Im done…..SAIGON IS DEAD…Should I say Ill slap a rapper so they run and put it in all their news section and gossip columns..Okay Ill slap the shit outta EVERY Rapper hows that….I QUIT, now I gotta figure out how Im gonna break this to Just Blaze……THE GREATEST STORY NEVER TOLD=Prophecy……
Though he may be worth an estimated $50 million, Damon Dash has neglected to pay his taxes, according to the New York Post.
Dash reportedly owes the state of New York $2 million. Among his possessions are a $400,000 Maybach sedan with a chauffeur, diamond-encrusted watches and over 1,000 pairs of sneakers.
This may be related to the issues Dame had with his accountant Barry Klarberg, whom he filed suit against last April. The suit called for $3.5 million due to claims that Klarberg filed years worth of erroneous tax returns on Dash's behalf.
Most recently Dame hosted a Jim Jones mixtape titled Harlem's American Gangster, which served as a dis toward Jay-Z's most recent album American Gangster.
T.I., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Win at the American Music Awards
T.I., who missed last night’s American Music Awards ceremony at LA’s Nokia Theater due to his home incarceration, still managed to pick up two awards in the Rap/Hip-Hop category.
Tip won in both the Best Male and Album categories, beating out fellow nominees Fabolous, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Young Jeezy.
The Cleveland based Bone Thugs, who lost to the King of the South in the Album category, didn’t go home empty handed though. The trio beat out Pretty Ricky and the Shop Boyz to take home the award for Rap/Hip-Hop Band, Duo or Group.
The American Music Awards, now in it’s 35th year, honors musicians in genres ranging from Country to Adult Contemporary. For the first time in the Awards’ history, producers allowed viewers to vote for winners in each category via and online poll.
T.I. CALLS MTV NEWS DURING HOUSE ARREST
T.I may not be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with his own extended family, but it's not stopping him from ensuring that those less fortunate in his Atlanta hometown will at least have a turkey dinner on Thursday.
Confined to his home while awaiting trial on gun charges, the rapper has been recording tracks for his upcoming album "Paper Trail" and making arrangements for his Grand Hustle record label to feed the homeless for Thanksgiving.
"I want people to know that no matter what the situation is, I'm always going to be in the community giving to those who are in need and helping people out," he told MTV News correspondent Sway via telephone. "That's what I've always done."
Grand Hustle K.I.N.G. Foundation will be handing out 400 turkeys in Atlanta: 200 on the west side, 200 on the east side. There will be Thanksgiving dinners prepared and served for the needy at Club Crucial on Thanksgiving as well.
T.I. is also assisting the Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless Foundation by reaching out to his friends in the hip-hop community in hopes of raising $150,000 for a massive turkey giveaway at Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves. T.I. says the goal is to serve 20,000 to 30,000 people.
Several days before contacting MTV, T.I. recorded a video for the Web site streetcred.com in which he vowed to be exonerated of his weapons charges. The artist was arrested in Atlanta last month by ATF agents and charged with two felonies — possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
Eminem’s 8 Mile Style Music Inks Global Publishing Deal with Kobalt Music Group
Eminem’s publishing company, 8 Mile Style Music, has entered into a global music publishing deal with the Kobalt Music Group and LA based Music Resources.
Through the deal, Kobalt will become 8 Mile Style’s exclusive publishing administrator for all territories outside of the U.S. and Canada, while Music Resources will handle administration duties within the U.S. Kobalt will collect, process and track royalties for Em’s extensive multi-million album selling catalog. The two companies will collaborate on creative and A&R services, and Music Resources will utilize Kobalt’s online music publishing administration technology under the “Powered by Kobalt” brand.
“The music industry is changing fast, and like the trend with established major artists, copyright holders of major catalogs need to take control of their own destiny,” said Joel Martin, principal of 8 Mile Style. “Kobalt’s transparent system has re-engineered the publishing industry, and we’re confident we have crafted a unique relationship with Kobalt globally, and both Kobalt and Music Resources in the U.S., that will provide tremendous financial and creative advantages and will ensure we are completely involved in the management of our business with money not being wasted on unnecessary expenses.”

Jay-Z Drops "Gangster" Acappellas
recently announced plans to drop an acappella version of his American Gangster album.
The instrumental free American Gangster will be available on Hov's born day - December 4 - the same date as releases from Ghostface Killa, Wyclef Jean and DJ Drama.
Hov previously released an acappella version of 2003's The Black Album which eventually helped launch Gnarls Barkley producer Danger Mouse into the spotlight.
Danger Mouse was among a number of DJ's and producers to use the acappella for a mashup - his project The Grey Album set Jigga's vocals over unauthorized samples from The Beatle
The acappella version of The Black Album spawned numerous remix albums, including Hov's collaboration with Linkin Park for Collision Course, the Mike Shinoda produced-set that remains the only Black Album remix to get an official stamp of approval from Jay-Z.
It's still too early to guess how producers and DJ's will put the American Gangster acappella's to use, but with December 4 right around the corner time should soon tell.
David Banner Explains Constant Album Delays, Diversifies Portfolio
David Banner's fourth album seems like its release date just keeps being pushed back and it has, but according to the producer / rapper / actor, there's a reason for it.
Making a stop at Hennessy's Flaunt Your Taste party in Los Angeles on Friday (November 16) recently, Banner explained that his new album, The Greatest Story Ever Told, is coming next year, but with the film roles and cartoon on Adult Swim he has coming up, he wanted to let his movie fan base translate into music fans.
"Being that the movie stuff is going so good for me, I thought it was smart I learned from T.I. last year. You know, if you're gonna acquire more fans, it would be a lot smarter... just pull the album back, build a brand, more than just drop an album because I got so many other things coming up," David Banner told BallerStatus.com. "Might as well diversify your portfolio, drop the album after everybody know about David Banner because the movie and political side is bringing in so many new fans, so why not just pull the album back and drop the album after acquire all those new fans?"
And he is right. Like T.I. did to set up his King to coincide with the release of his acting debut on "ATL," David Banner is letting his upcoming movie roles garner him more fans.
The rapper has upcoming roles in "This Christmas" (starring Delroy Lindo, Regina King and Lauren London), and "Days Of Wrath" (starring Laurence Fishburne, Wilmer Valderrama and rappers Rick Ross and Slim Thug), as well as an "That Crook'd 'Sipp," an animated show on the Adult Swim network. His previous film credit includes "Black Snake Moan," which starred Samuel L. Jackson.
Despite his stock rising in Hollywood, Banner is still working hard on his music. Production-wise, he has been working on several new projects. He says he will have credits on five tracks from Lil Wayne's long awaited Tha Carter 3 album, Snoop Dogg's forthcoming album and T.I.'s next album as well.
Additionally, he will grace upcoming covers of The Source and Ozone magazine. So, looks like he is right on with pushing his album back, as he lines up his plan for its set up.
Banner also spoke on T.I., who is currently on house arrest after posting $3 million bond on federal weapons charges (see "T.I. Granted $3 Million Bond"). He said that T.I. is in good spirits and that he is planning to help him in programs he has going on in his community this Thanksgiving, specifically making donations and giving out turkeys.
The Greatest Story Ever Told is slated to hit stores in March of 2008.

Vick turned himself in so that he can begin serving his sentence earlier, meaning whatever sentence he receives on Dec. 10 potentially will end earlier.
Vick's sentencing hearing before Judge Henry Hudson will take place on Dec. 10 in Richmond, Va., which is when he will find out the extent of his sentence for charges he pleaded guilty to in his dogfighting case.

French newspaper Le Parisian reports that Kanye West broke down late night during a live performance in Paris.
The newspaper went on to say, "He said the word, 'Mother' and just couldn't go any further. A back-up singer, the DJ and a guitar player came over to console him. It looked like he might collapse. He just couldn't continue. He just stood there in a spotlight, crying while the band continued playing.
Kanye then reportedly walked off the stage, regained his composure and returned to perform his hit song Stronger. He was very nervous, seemed to have gathered himself up, and had a lot of energy. He kept shouting out to the audience, 'I need you... I need you right now.' and the public was screaming back. It was magic."
(L note: I cant imagine what the homie going thru. I mean all this just happened a week ago, you might wanna take some time to heal, or at least try to heal, not like you need the money)
With the recent statement released from Lil Eazy-E (claiming that Lil Wayne and Birdman are "fake gangbanging"), causing a definite stir, the Compton rapper has issued another statement insisting that there is no beef.
"It's not a beef so everyone can calm down with that. I'm stating facts and if you don't understand that then the message wasn't meant for you. I'm talking strictly to people who are cut from the same cloth as me I can't beef with someone who does not have the proper knowledge on this particular subject I'm speaking on. They don't no dip shit'bout banging so there for this is no beef. I am talking to my people; opening our eyes to not get fooled by what you see on TV and here on wax that's all," Lil Eazy-E said via a statement
