Paul Wall is alive and well, according to a source close to the the Houston rapper.
A hip-hop site sent an e-mail alert earlier today stating the Swisha House artist was shot to death in a night club incident. The message also said two teens were being held in custody as a result.
A source, however, confirmed that Paul wall is “just fine.”
Paul Wall also responded to an e-mail message stating he was ok.
Shortly after, the site backtracked and reported that an associate close to Paul Wall had been murdered, not the rapper himself. At press time it remains unclear if in fact an associate close to the Houston artist had been killed. Representatives at Paul Wall’s recording home, Atlantic Records, have not issued a statement.

Nelly has confirmed completion of a deal that will make him an owner of ZizZazz, an energy drink mix company that has quickly become one of the fastest growing in the nation.
ZizZazz debuted last spring and made an immediate impact due to coming in four different flavors served from portable single serving sticks.
The convenience of this packaging allowed the fledgling organization to steal valuable market share from competitors.
The company’s decision to add Nelly is part of a forthcoming national campaign to further expand the brand in new markets.
“I’m excited to partner with ZizZazz, the drink mix helps my energy stay high during rehearsals and performances as I gear up for the release of Brass Knuckles,” Nelly said in a statement. “I didn’t want to just endorse it; I wanted to be part of the growth of the company. ZizZazz is a product that definitely fits my lifestyle. I can throw a few in my bag, grab a bottle of water and I’m set.”
As an owner, Nelly’s responsibilities will be television commercials, radio advertising, and spokesman duties at media appearances.
The rapper is also co-owner of the Pimp Juice energy drink brand, which is sold in the United States and in various countries throughout Europe.

Kidz In The Hall are currently on tour with Rock The Bells. After stellar performances in Chicago last week, the duo of Naledge and Double O did not appear in yesterday's performance at Columbia, Maryland due to an altercation after a Saturday performance in Tempe, Arizona.
Although formal details have yet to be released, a reported eyewitness told reporters over the weekend that they witnessed group producer Double O in a physical altercation with several club owners and bodyguards.
Although the source was not sure why the club staff was involved, suggesting it may have been from a dispute with another patron. The report stated, "After being grabbed up by one bouncer and put in a headlock, at least four other bouncers came over pulled Double O to the floor, and began kicking and beating him."
Following that, police intervened, arresting partner Naledge for what appeared to be taking pictures of the aforementioned beating. Rock The Bells reps told reporters in Maryland that injuries resulted in Double O going to the hospital on Saturday.
There was no additional information available on either Kidz In The Hall's present whereabouts or condition.
Nas and Kelis have been together for quite some time. During this time, the couple has gone into a studio to record their fair share of tracks. Those songs were served up to mixed reviews but they have shared some commercial success with Kelis' "Blindfold Me." Now, the duo is planning something else. This time, the two may be collaborating on an entire album together.
"Me and my wife was thinking about doing this record together," he recently told MTV. This follows last week's report that he had aspirations of doing two albums soon, one entire produced by Dr. Dre and another one entirely produced by DJ Premier.
"I'm doing my dream. If you could, wouldn't you do it? What else would you do?" Nas said last week. "Every time I do something, it's, 'Oh, he's doing it because this and that.' Since my first album, everybody has an explanation of why. What am I supposed to be doing here? So I wanna drop the Dre album and the Premier album on the same day. That's what I'm thinking."
Nasty's mind is still on Untitled, though. Soon, the Queens emcee is expected release a single to follow "Hero," which has been getting healthy spins on radio stations. While some may have been blindsided by a Polow Da Don produced track for the LP, Nas spoke on why he went that route.
"I was almost gonna not do a single, but I wanted a song I could hear in the clubs, 'cause I knew the album didn't have that. I wanted a song that I could hear when I'm poppin' bottles. That's what 'Hero' was for me. Polow was one of my favorite guys; he's just a nice-ass guy. ... I was like, 'No single, no video. Let's just make this a record that we talk about.' "
More information has emerged on Miami rapper Rick Ross, detailing his history as a correctional officer and dismissing his alleged criminal background, as his Florida Department of Corrections (DoC) records continue to leak.
TheSmokingGun.com has obtained an additional 86 pages of Ross’ personnel file from the DoC of his 18-month employment as a corrections officer in the mid-90s. Included documentation ranges from Ross’ employment application and finger print card proving his clean criminal background to signed agreement forms where he promised to “shoot an inmate attempting to escape.”
Also found in the reports are his loyalty oath, payroll information, and a Certificate of Appreciation that he received due to his perfect attendance record.
As previously reported, The Smoking Gun recently confirmed that Ross worked as a prison guard from December 1995 until June 1997 at the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County, despite denials by the rapper. He was reportedly earning a salary of $25,794.34 upon his departure.

Foxy Brown has broken her silence on Broken Silence—her unreleased biography that was set to be released by publishing giant Simon & Schuster.
The company recently filed suit against Brown, alleging that the east coast emcee was given an advance for a book she never delivered. Now, Brown’s attorney is speaking up on her behalf to clear the air.
"In 2005, after Foxy Brown's delivery of her uniquely personally written synopsis, both Simon & Schuster Inga Marchand were excited to join together to publish her autobiography, Broken Silence, one of the most highly anticipated books in rap history, and” Laura Dilimetin told reporters.
Dilimetin says that when Brown lost her hearing, she had the company’s blessing to go forward with the recovery, but learned that the book deal was off the table after completing rehabilitation to restore her hearing.
“After returning we were told that Simon & Schuster decided not to go forward with the project. Many attempts were made by Foxy Brown's agents to resurrect the deal, to no avail.”
According to published reports, Brown was given a $75,000 advance for the book, which the company has filed suit to recoup.
Simon & Schuster "exhausted all other avenues on recouping the money on a manuscript that wasn't delivered,” company spokesman Adam Rothberg told the Associated Press.
Dilimetin counters the claim, saying that the company is trying to prevent the book from being released.
“Now that Foxy Brown is being courted by many publishers to negotiate a new book deal, I find it suspect that after all of these years of silence, Simon & Schuster pick now to bring this meritless action when they were the ones to halt the project.
“Foxy Brown would love to continue with Simon & Schuster and welcomes talks to continue to solidify a deal.”
T.I.'s highly anticipated upcoming album, Paper Trail, has been delayed yet again. Originally slated for a release in September, the album was moved to August 12. It did not stay there for long, however, as the date changed to September 2 and then September 9.
According to Billboard, Paper Trail has been pushed back to September 30. "We're not ready yet," said the rapper's publicist, who explained that that the video for the first official single, "Whatever You Like," "is being shot today and we need more time." The clip will be available in roughly two weeks.
T.I.'s current single, "No Matter What," has been out since April and reached 42 on Billboard's "Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" chart.
Currently, T.I. is working with the Hip-Hop Caucus to help a vote registration initiative, "Get Out the Vote," aimed at young adults aged 18 to 29. The campaign begins today, (July 28) with a press conference in Washington, D.C. T.I. will serve as the major spokesman, but other celebrities and key figures will join in the effort as well.
Trick Daddy has replied to the accusations that he was the person behind the leaked photos of Rick Ross, who apparently worked as a correctional officer before his successful music career, as reported earlier.
“We don’t deal with rap beef down here,” Trick told an online hip-hop publication. “That’s not in our character. That’s not something we do. We’re the only city that ever gets compared to other people’s entire states. Whoever put my name in this is really attacking all of us.”
In a recent interview, Rick Ross was asked about the alleged problems between himself and Trick Daddy. He was then told by the interviewer that “Trick Daddy accused [him] of working as a prison guard at one point.“ Even though Ross responded back with some disparaging comments, Trick says there's no beef between the two and said they had spoke as recently as last week.
“I told Ross he needs to have better people around him,” Trick Daddy said. “He needs better publicists, so that he can avoid even being asked those type of funny questions. I been in this game for thirteen years, and anybody who’s ever listened to my music knows Trick Daddy is very smart. I know when somebody’s trying to use me and pull me into some s**t. But the people doing this need to understand what their words can do too. When you start talking about beef, and creating [situations] between people from the same hood, you gotta realize that that beef s**t can end with one man in jail and another man gone.”
So does Trick Daddy even care if Ross was a CO? Regarding that issue he said “So what if he [was]....That just means he avoided something a lot of us in the hood haven’t, including me. I’m not proud of being an ex-con. Now that means I always got one foot in and one foot on a banana peel. I’m not proud of the things I did to land in that position.”

“I’m keeping it hood!” The sentiment is echoed throughout the hip hop community as some sort of badge of honor. But Bed-Stuy native Jay-Z says that he is growing tired of the statement as he apparently feels that no one would voluntarily give up their current status in the game to return to the block.
“I think it's more important for me to be in touch with who I am than in touch with the streets, per se,” Jay said in a recent interview. “Being in touch with the streets, keeping it real, that's become a lie and a cliche.”
“I'm not hanging on the corner in the Bed-Stuy. I hate it when rappers say, 'I'm keeping it hood.' I'm like, 'Why? What do you mean? No one's there by choice! You're in the hood, by choice?!'"
