After an altercation at last week's Ozone Awards held in Houston, Texas, DJ Vlad is suing Rick Ross for $4 Million. The DJ claims in a lawsuit filed in federal court today, that Ross orchestrated a "brutal attack" against him.
Among the injuries alleged to have been suffered by Vlad in the attack are seven stitches below one of his eyes, three facial fractures, a corneal abrasion and possible permanent nerve damage. The suit is seeking $2 million in compensatory damages and $2 million in punitive damages.

DMX was arrested in Miami yesterday (August 14) afternoon for an outstanding warrant in Arizona.
As reported earlier, a Phoenix judge issued a warrant for the rapper's arrest on Tuesday (August 12) after he failed to appear in court on marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges. The judge also raised X's bond to $25,000.
According to KTAR Newsroom, DMX was arrested outside a Wal-Mart store Thursday.
Charles Kozelka, DMX’s public defender in Phoenix, told MTV yesterday (August 13) that the rapper was hospitalized in Miami but never gave a reason why. He was trying to get the warrant for DMX dropped by having the rapper surrender to police.
Phoenix lawyer Murray Richman, who has represented DMX in various other cases, revealed to KTAR that the rapper is being represented by the public defender because he is low on funds.
Richman also revealed that the rapper's Phoenix home is in foreclosure.
“His home is in foreclosure and he is without funds,” said Richman.
Aside from the aforementioned drug charges, DMX also faces identity theft charges, speeding charges and animal cruelty charges in Phoenix.
A New York judge yesterday (August 14) tossed two weapons charges against Yung Berg.
As reported earlier, Berg and members of his entourage were arrested this past weekend after a limousine driver filed a complaint with police claiming he got into a dispute Yung Berg and his associates.
According to TMZ, the judge dropped the gun charges because the guns which the cops confiscated belonged to Berg's security. Berg did not appear in court.
Berg is expected to return to court in December to face the menacing and marijuana charges but his lawyer, Robert Kalinas, thinks the charges will be dropped.

For the past few years beef between Jay-Z and Game has been hovering but never to the point.
Even after Jay-Z denounced the rumors, Game came right back with even more verbal taunts including publicly saying
"Memph Bleek can suck my dick /Beanie Sigel can suck my dick/Jay-Z can suck my dick/Roc-A-Fella can suck my dick."
Now Game is back at it.
The next chapter in this soap opera begins as Game talks to 104.7s Chino today. When asked about how Jay-Z supposedly said he wasn't going to respond to Game's taunts and would rather "Just let him commit suicide," Game responded.
"I'm too disrespectful for Jay-Z, I go to hard. His beef is mediocre beef, it's more swag and less hardcore. Me, I go in on your grandma, your kids and your girl….it will get ugly and I don't mind. I have a whole coast to back me. My coast will turn their backs on whoever I turn my back on. So basically, let me commit suicide because I'm the only cat to commit suicide and resurrect every time. So for Jay to say that about me, that's cool man because he's Jay-Z and I'm just lil ol' Game. But if you fuck with me I'll turn to a beast, and ill rip ya head off..bust ya lips," Game said.
"I can be a fan of Jay and still rip him limb from limb lyrically and still be a fan. After I finish him off, I'm still going to listen to Reasonable Doubt afterwards. I'll kiss Jay goodbye with his own lips. I'm going to make him mad enough to where he has to say something. Jay imma make you so mad you gonna have to diss me...[laughs] I need him to do it, I got an album coming out; help me."
(L note: Jay probably wont respond until BP3 gets ready to drop)
The California Senate yesterday (August 13) approved a new rule for elective surgery in response to the controversial death of Kanye West's mother.
As reported earlier, the rapper's mother, Donda West, died at a Los Angeles hospital in 2007, a day after going under the knife for breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction.
Her autopsy revealed she likely died of pre-existing heart disease coupled with multiple postoperative factors.
According to The Los Angeles Times, the California Senate approved a rule that will require patients to be given a physical exam before elective surgery.
The Senate and West’s family believe that a physical exam could have revealed Donda's heart disease.
“Many of us are concerned about the quality of care extended to those who receive elective surgery,” said Senator Mark Ridley-Thomas.
Donda West was 58 years old at the time of her death. She was a former chairwoman of Chicago State University's English department and served as her son's manager.
According to Rap-Up, the album's was pushed back because the rapper is still recording.
Block Party, which was scheduled for release in eptember release, is now slated for a November release. Production on the project will be supplied by Souldiggaz, Danjahandz, Pharrell, T-Pain, Pointguard and Timbaland.
Last month, Missy released a single from the album called “Best Best”. A video for the track is expected to be released soon.
Lil Wayne and Yung Berg have reportedly failed to appear in a New York court today (August 14) for hearings relating to gun charges.
According to TMZ, Wayne's camp claims that the New Orleans bred rapper failed to show because of a dental condition that restricts him from driving. A reason for Berg's no-show was not given.
Wayne's gun charges from a 2007 arrest. A .40 caliber handgun was found by authorities in his tour bus last July following a performance with Ja Rule at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre.
Wayne, who has pleaded not guilty to the weapons possession charges, faces to three and a half years in prison if convicted.
Berg's gun charges stem from an arrest this past weekend. He also faces charges of marijuana possession and menacing.
Jody Breeze is reportedly behind bars for probation violation.
The rapper's lawyer, Shawn Macalister, revealed to Allhiphop that his client was caught driving on a HOV lane by authorities in Atlanta last Friday (August 8).
Police already had a pending violation of probation warrant for Breeze and he was taken into custody.
Breeze appeared in court Monday (August 11) and plead guilty to traffic violation. He was then sentenced to time served.
Breeze remains in custody at Georgia jail awaiting a hearing on the charges.
Mike Jones and Trae the Truth yesterday (August 13) released statements apologizing for their tussle at the Ozone Awards.
As reported earlier, both rappers exchanged words and blows at the award show which was held in their hometown on Monday (August 11).
Both rappers claimed the other sparked the brawl. Jones claimed Trae sucker-punched him. He also claimed that Trae's actions were part of a publicity stunt brought about by jealousy.
Trae claimed that Jones caused the fight by provoking him.
Despite being apologetic for the fight via their statements, both rappers refused to acknowledge each other respectfully in their statements. They also didn’t give any hints of attempting to quell their feud.
“First off before I point any fingers, I personally do want to apologize for the incident that happened at the Ozone Awards. I hope you all don’t get the wrong impression of me or my city,” said Mike Jones. “The incident that I was put in was totally unexpected and totall y unprofessional. If I knew this was going to happen at a big event such as the Ozone Awards, first, I would not have brought my mother and second, I would have done everything in my power to prevent it.”
“I had no intention of tarnishing this great opportunity, nor the experiences of those who participated in it,” he continued. “I apologize once again for everything that happened but I cannot apologize for having to defend myself from someone bringing unexpected or un-called violence to me and my family at any time. I apologize once again and I appreciate your support and understanding.”
“I have to take the time out to apologize to the kids and to anyone who follows and supports my career for what happened at the Ozone Awards this past Monday night,” Trae said. “I told myself that I was gonna do my best for the new era of the streets not to go through the experiences that I go through in life. For a split second, I almost entertained the little-girl tactics of a person who is really irrelevant nowadays”.
“Things like this happen in life every day and I do not have the time to entertain this any more,” Trae added. “I would like the world to tell Mr. Jones that he can thank me later for his split second of fame. Right now, I’ma keep it moving.”
DMX's Phoenix lawyer revealed yesterday (August 13) that the embattled rapper is currently in a Miami hospital.
On August 11th, a Phoenix judge issued an arrest warrant for DMX after he failed to appear in court for a hearing relating to drug possession charges. The judge also raised the rapper's bond to $25,000.
Charles Kozelka, X's lawyer, divulged to MTV News Wednesday that the warrant for his client's arrest still stands despite the judge's knowledge of the rapper's hospitalization.
According to Kozelka, the judge refused to cancel the warrant because the court wasn't notified sooner and this is was the second time DMX had failed to appear in court.
Kozelka refused to reveal why DMX was hospitalized and also refused to comment on reports that have surfaced claiming that the rapper is in a rehabilitation facility.
DMX's substance abuse and legal issue are well documented. He has been arrested more than five times in the past four months on drug charges, identity theft charges and animal cruelty charges.
Kozelka said that he i s currently trying to get DMX back to Phoenix and having the arrest warrant canceled.
“We are in court again next week on other matters, and my hope is we can get the warrant resolved by then and get back on track,” Kozelka explained. “We have some things in the works to get the warrant taken care of. My hope is that we can resolve it without an arrest, but he's been arrested at the airport before, so they obviously have an eye out for him, so I'm not sure.”

As reported earlier, New Orleans based jeweler Jack Sutton took Lil Wayne to court claiming that the rapper purchased a $138,000 diamond ring and a $32,000 gold-and-diamond necklace from him in 2006 and only paid $24,000 for the pieces.

In fact, the pair might do two T-Wayne projects -- an official album, and a mixtape.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely we can discuss it, man," T-Pain told MTV News. “It’s called T-Wayne: The Project. It’s basically just going to be an array of things, just a visual love. The two artists you’ve seen collaborate with everyone except each other. When you see us together, it’s crazy right now. We already have what we’ve done. We’re gonna keep going till they tell us to stop. We might even put out a mixtape. We’ve got so many songs that we just might do a T-Wayne mixtape too.”

"It just really was a publicity stunt," Jones explained. "Everybody seen that it was the perfect time to do this. They don't have to pay for advertisements and promotion so he did that. Dude came and shook my hand and I guess he's mad because I call myself the president - because I am the president of H-Town, I run this city."
He then went on to speak about the incident involving Trae. "After we shook hands and had words, he went his way and I went my way. Next thing I know he snuck up behind me and tried to swing at me. I ain't about to give nobody no fame, no publicity, no nothing. It's going to get handled in the streets."
