Jamie Foxx Fights Off Hotel Stalker

Police say a man is in custody for trying to barge into actor Jamie Foxx's hotel penthouse in Philadelphia.

Investigators say 49-year-old William Brown first knocked on the door of Foxx's suite on March 20, claiming to be Beyonce's music producer.

Police say he tried to shove his way in but Foxx pushed him out and called security. The man was ejected again a few days later, but police were called when he returned on Tuesday.

Police say Brown is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail on stalking and other charges, pending a hearing April 7. It's not clear if he has an attorney.

Foxx has returned to Los Angeles after wrapping up filming in Philadelphia this week on the movie "Law Abiding Citizen."

King Magazine Closes Its Doors

The economy and the rise of the internet have slayed another print media outlet as King magazine announced their final issue will hit newsstand on April 21.

King has been going strong for six years and 50 issues but event its unique content could not hold the magazine afloat with all the financial pressure that led to numerous entertainment mags, including Blender last week, suffer.

An unidentified staff member at the magazine explained to Rap Radar that he saw the demise of the mag as imminent.

"I can only imagine how busy Twitter is right now over this. I thought we had at least one more issue in us, but in general, I saw it. It definitely sucks, but what can we do, you know?"

King, which is published by Harris Publications, will feature Joe Budden’s wife Tahiry in their last issue; the last in a long list of women such as Trina and Melyssa Ford.

Lil Wayne Sues QD3 Over Documentary

Lil Wayne has filed a lawsuit against a film company that filmed a documentary about him for not giving him final approval over the film.

According to the lawsuit, the 26-year-old artist allowed Digerati Holdings and QD3 Entertainment to shoot a docu-film about him. The movie company, in turn, promised to give him approval over the final cut.

In early December last year, the companies screened the film for Lil Wayne's manager, who advised them to remove objectionable content from the film. They sent another clip in January to the manager for review and approval. The manager once more demanded that all objectionable content be removed.

However, instead of doing so, they allegedly presented a "scandalous portrayal" of the rapper at Sundance without his approval.

Weezy is suing for breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, unfair business practices, fraud, and invasion of privacy among others.

Canibus & Keith Murray Team Up For Collabo Album

Keith Murray and Canibus are currently putting work on an untitled collabo album produced by Eric Sermon.

The lyricists who have been touring together, have finished two tracks and are doing it because "they want to capture the underground audience."

"It's only for heads," Eric Sermon tells MTV. "I don't think there's gonna be one radio record on there, just rhymes and concepts."

"What happened was, I think Keith Murray and Canibus were doing shows [and came up with the idea]," Sermon explained.

"They've been doing shows for the last six months back and forth. I guess somebody stepped to them about putting something together. They called me to do the album. I think they're two songs deep so far, but it's kinda ill to hear them. Keith Murray is out-there, lyrically, and now Canibus is a step way further out-there than he is. It's a dope mixture."

Canibus is also working on two other collabo albums with Kool G Rap and The Sharpshooters (respectively). He is also set to release Rip The Jacker II: Infinity and The 'C' Of Tranquility some time this year.

Baby Says Lil Wayne's Rebirth Not A Rock Album

Hip Hop fans around the world were shocked when they heard that Lil Wayne's next album, Rebirth, would be a rock album.

Skeptics can rest assured now, however, as Bryan "Baby" Williams, Cash Money Records co-CEO and mentor to Wayne, has told VIBE magazine that those reports were not accurate - at least not entirely.

“It’s not a rock record,” said the Birdman in an interview. “That’s what I think people are getting misunderstood. When you speaking about a rock record, you think he’s got a guitar and everything, but it’s not that. It’s going to be some of those types of beats, but it’s just great music. I don’t think no artist can do what he about to get done. My son is a rock star.”

“He can rap, he can sing, he’s just an artist,” he continued. “I don’t think no one will ever be greater [than Wayne] because I don’t think no one puts in the time or the quality. If someone do come along, can you imagine what he’ll have to do? He got to put out on thousand mixtapes, do a thousand records [and] sell 100 million records. 2Pac, Jay-Z and Biggie didn’t get to the shit Wayne’s done.”

Rebirth, thought to have been possibly shelved at one point, is now set to hit stores on June 16.

Ice Cube 'Rides' Dirty In New Flick

Ice Cube has set as his next star vehicle "Ride Along," an action comedy that New Line Cinema will put into production this summer.

Cube has come aboard with his Cube Vision partner Matt Alvarez to produce, and he will do a quick rewrite while New Line sets a director and co-star.

Cube will play a rogue cop with a soft spot for his sister. When she reveals she's engaged to an upper-crust white psychiatrist, the cop sets out to destroy the relationship by inviting his future brother-in-law on a ride-along.

Chris Bender and JC Spink will be executive producers, and Larry Brezner also will be involved in a producing capacity. Greg Coolidge wrote the script, and Steve Faber and Bob Fisher did a rewrite.

"Ride Along" will be Cube's first film for New Line since 2002's "Friday After Next," which he produced with Alvarez.

The deal comes as Cube and Alvarez search for a distributor for his latest starring effort, "Janky Promoters."

The film, which was independently financed by Comerica, was originally set for distribution at the Weinstein Co. That deal went by the wayside recently, and distr ibutor screenings began late last week.

Raekwon Leaves Aftermath For EMI

Having received mixed critical and commercial success on his last two albums, Raekwon has decided to partner with EMI for his upcoming Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2. The Staten Island emcee, who has been one of the Wu-Tang Clan's most outspoken members, announced the new deal to K-Dubasis and DJ Biggmann of OnAirIdiots.

"The project is vicious right now," Raekwon said. "It's done. I just closed my deal that I signed with EMI. I just signed off yesterday, and we made everything official. EMI is the home; they gave me a nice piece of what I needed."

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx was followed by Immobilarity, which reached the number nine spot on the Billboard 200 before being certified gold by the RIAA. Rae's third solo effort, The Lex Diamond Story, failed to sell at least 500,000 copies. Raekwon reportedly signed with Dr. Dre's Aftermath imprint in 2006, but eventually left the label on good terms without releasing any material. The tracks "Criminology 2" and "Wu-Oooh" have been released in anticipation of a proper album release.

"It's gonna be raw Hip Hop," Raekwon added. "We're gonna keep it where we supposed to keep it. That album? That shit is gonna be better than your momma's spaghetti, yo."

Mistah F.A.B. Speaks On Oakland Police Shootings

As the city of Oakland begins the recovery process in the aftermath of the shooting deaths of four police officers, rapper/activist Mistah F.A.B. offered up his thoughts on the tragic incident.

While F.A.B. does not condone the shooting deaths of the officers, he hopes the tragedy will be the catalyst for a dialog between the community—which has dealt with police brutality for decades—and the officers sworn to protect and serve them.

"I’m not saying it’s right,” F.A.B. told BET several days ago. “I don’t want to see anybody lose their life. I don’t believe in taking a life. At the end of the day, that’s somebody’s father, somebody’s friend and somebody’s husband. I’m not saying that’s right. What I am saying is, ‘Why does it take the deaths of these cops to bring to light the injustices that have been going on for the last 30 or 40 years?’”

F.A.B. makes it clear that he does not share the sweeping, anti-police sentiment offered up by other artists; praising officers that do a good job and condemning those who fail to speak out against injustice.

“I’m not saying all police are cowards,” he said. “There are some good men of law that do their jobs and carry out the job description efficiently. There are good men of law. But those good men are just as guilty as the guilty ones when they don’t take a stand towards justice. Right is right, and wrong is wrong. If wrong has been done, say you don’t support the wrong that’s being done. If not, you’re just as wrong as the person [committing the act].”

At the end of the day, F.A.B. compares the city of Oakland to a battered woman when describing the often contentious relationship between residents and police.

“I look at our city as a battered woman. No matter how good the men are, we will always feel that they are out to get us. Until the men who patrol and govern us show that they are working just as hard to help out as they were working to hurt, we will always have our defenses up.”

Nas & Damian Marley Work On Collabo Album

Nas and reggae singer Damian Marley are working on a collaborative album that will be hitting shelves this June.

Nas and Damian collaborated on the song "Road To Zion" which appeared on the reggae singer's sophomore album, Welcome To Jam Rock.

"We're trying to have a sound that's reminiscent of both of us, but not exactly like either," Damian told Rolling Stone.

Proceeds for the currently untitled album will go to building a project that will benefit an African nation. The duo is thinking of building a school in the Congo.

"A lot of charity albums come off corny," says Damian. "We want this to be something you'd play in your car."

The Game Offers A Rematch To Bow Wow

Last year, The Game challenged Bow Wow to a game of Madden '09: with the winner to receive $100,000 in prize money. Weeks passed, and fans began to worry that the match would not happen.

However, The Game and Bow Wow eventually showed up with their football helmets and Xbox 360 controllers and battled it out.

The Game, who used the New England Patriots to crush Bow Wow's Cincinnati Bengals with a final score of 55-23, was crowned winner.

However, according to The Game, Bow Wow has never paid his dues. Calling out a rematch, the duo will not play Madden this time around, but rather the Black College Football Experience (BCFX) for Xbox 360.

Bow Wow has not yet accepted the challenge, and there is no word on when or if he will
