Now with 100% more Diddy
50 Cent announced that he would be releasing a self-described street album for download this Tuesday (June 16) on his wesbsite ThisIs50.com.
Fif revealed the news in an interview with MTV News, where he said the disc, titled War Angel, is more like a street album, as opposed to a mixtape. “Creatively, this is not even a mixtape,” he said. “That’s why I put LP next to it. … My core audience will understand it immediately, and it’s written specifically for that.”
The G-Unit boss is very proud of the 10-track project. “When you hear it, out of all the material I put on the street, you’re gonna say that’s the best body of work I put out in the mixtape circuit, period,” he boasted. “The way the mood of music is right now, when they hear what this is, they’ll say, ‘That’s what we needed.’”
While the Queens rapper is hard at work on his long delayed studio album, Before I Self-Destruct, he plans to drop several other releases in the meantime. “I have two other tapes to follow it,” he shared. “Fourth of July, Sincerely Southside Part 2 coming out with mostly ’90s music on it. Timeless music, classic hit records. Then, after that, there’s a G-Unit mixtape. It’s actually untitled. I’ll be finished with it in the next day or so.”
Before I Self Destruct is now slated to hit shelves sometime in September.
With the Slaughterhouse name buzzing, Royce Da 5'9" has been getting a lot of attention recently. No stranger to the limelight, Nickel is still working hard on his solo efforts.
Holding off on the release of Street Hop, at least until after the Sluaghterhouse debut drops, he's still slated to release a solo EP before all other projects. With that, The Revival EP will be available for download July 7.
Part of what has fans excited to hear the EP deals with the fact that a brand new Slaughterhouse track will be featured as one of the four songs on The Revival.
After The Revival, Street Hop will follow as his next solo release. Royce said fans can expect his most lyrical project yet.
"Bar Exam 2 is probably my most lyrical project to date. And my new album, Street Hop, is going to top that," he said in a press release.
"I could care less about radio. I don't like nothing that's on the radio, so why would I cater to radio? I'm just going to stick to doing what I do. Radio's either going to come to me, or it's going to remain being corny."

The release of the much hyped "Tia's Diary" came and went without many noticing. Tiallondra Kemp, best known as Rick Ross's baby mother, partnered up with his current nemesis 50 Cent to release the tell-all tale of a woman scorned.
Speaking with radio personality Mr. Peter Parker, the rapper questioned why Kemp would partner with Fif when he is a "dying brand."
"I haven't heard anything about it," Ross said referring to Tia's new tell-all book.
"So that kinda speaks for itself...You gonna get out the streets what you put into it. For instance, 50 Cent's very last video game sold 680,000 games the first week. His last one sold 50,000. That may be a 90 percent drop-off. And the video game world is only striving, so that lets you know what his brand is doing at this point. So doing a book with a 50 Cent at this point is like getting a crunk beat from Lil Jon." Ross continued.
Since its May 20th (09) release, Tia's Diary has failed to reach anywhere near the top of the sale charts, landing at #19,651 on Amazon.com, one of the few retailers carrying the book.
"I got a little one from her, that'll never get crossed. It's entertainment. She get to be an actress and a video model, I'm like one of the only G's that's schooled.
We buy the whips online now...It's kinda hard to catch my attention, if you like something and sell a hundred copies, you gotta be No. 1 to be on my radar. And that's what I was trying to motivate 'Curly' to do, but you see how his last single he just leaked."
Lauryn Hill has canceled all of her European tour dates this summer, citing health reasons as the cause.
According to news.yahoo.com, the Stockhom Jazz Festival spokeswoman Lisa Tolonen explained that Hill's agent informed festival organizers that the rapper/singer was canceling all European performances this summer.
This included stops in Sweden, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France and Austria.
Tolonen said that while the agent did cite health reasons, they declined to provide further details.
This further adds speculation to rumors of strange behavior by Hill, who has reportedly performed inconsistent sets, somtimes consisting only of poetry and no music.

In a backstage SummerJam interview with Miss Info,Jadakiss spoke briefly on upcoming D-Block album and possibly joining forces with Diddy, again.
“We got a meeting actually with Puff in a couple of weeks,” Jadakiss explained in the interview. “I think we got a sit down dinner. I just got that news delivered to me from Groovy Lou today.“
“It’s all business Info…This is your job as entertainment,” said Jadakiss. “You here to make money without selling yourself short or without compromising what you do. At the end of the day if it’s beneficial for both parties on a financial end and on just good vibes it could always work.”
Kiss also revealed that they’re about six, seven songs into the album and that it will be released at the end of the year.
Aside from this upcoming D-Block album Jadakiss, who released The Last Kiss earlier this year, is already working on his next album entitled Top Five, Dead Or Alive.

Proximo Spirits, Inc. and its 1800® Tequila announced this week a partnership with Rick Ross and his Triple C's crew, in which the Miami rapper would endorse their new, clear tequila.
Kicking off the partnership will be a video and photo shoot, showing Rick Ross and his crew enjoying 1800 Tequila's Select Silver, which the company boasts as the first and only 100 proof clear tequila on the market.
"Of all the tequilas out there, the 100 proof 1800 Select Silver is the 'big boss' and the only tequila I would put the Rick Ross name behind," said the rapper. "1800 Tequila is a brand I'm really excited to grind and build with, and as I keep pumping out the hits, topping the charts, and discovering new talent like my crew Triple C's -- 1800 Tequila will be rising to the top with me."
"Rick Ross and Triple C's were an obvious choice for us," added Elwyn Gladstone, Head of Marketing for Proximo. "1800 Select Silver is a serious tequila for the serious tequila drinker. It's making a huge splash in the tequila market right now, just as Rick Ross is shaking up the music industry."
According to the company, 1800 Select Silver is "a smooth and sexy alternative to the predictable players behind the bar and is the perfect choice for partygoers."

Continuing a media blitz that started on Saturday night (June 6) with the release of his new single “D.O.A. (Death of Autotune),” Jay-Z appeared on New York’s Hot 97 for a candid conversation with longtime host Angie Martinez.
During the chat, Jay confirmed that his eleventh solo album, The Blueprint 3 will be released on September 11 as rumored.
“It’s the date the first one came out and it was a horrible date in our history,” he stated. “I have a wonderful idea for a show, proceeds are gonna go to charity. You know, just bring it full circle. I have a historic venue in mind, I’m gonna bring some artists out. It’s gonna be big.”
The multi-platinum rapper, who ranked #32 on the latest Forbes list of top earning celebrities, also took time to address the controversy created by “D.O.A,” which was co-produced by autotune user Kanye West.
Jay clarified that his gripe about the recording tool is simply with those artists who “use it as a crutch,” adding that autotune can be a great tool, when you have melodies behind it.
During the show, a fan texted Martinez, asking if the song was a jab at Ron Browz and DJ Webstar for their collaborations with Jim Jones.
Jay-Z dismissed the rumors and replied “so far away from my thought process. Really far away.”
“It’s not me, the people are sick of it,” Jay-Z continued, before closing out the interview to the sound of his live performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2009 on Sunday night (June 7).
As for T-Pain’s appearance on stage during the impromptu performance, Jay said that it was not planned as many believed.
Jay-Z took advantage of the interview to share his thoughts on the current state of Hip-Hop, speaking on his likes and dislikes and co-signing both newcomer Drake and Soulja Boy, who often comes under fire from Hip-Hop purists.
One of the most poignant statements he made during this most recent interview, however, spoke to the quality of music itself.
“We can’t complain about the state of rap and where it’s going and the decline every year,” he concluded. “We have to look at ourselves first. I can understand why a lot of people get turned off of rap. You can talk about the machine, but you gotta be willing to clean yourself up first.”

Former Byrd Gang rapper Max B was found guilty today for his involvement in a robbery that left one man dead.
According to XXL, the Harlem rapper’s rep has confirmed that a New Jersey judge has found him guilty. It is unclear how much time he was sentenced to.
Max, born Charly Wingate, was accused of being the mastermind behind a $30,000 heist targeting two wealthy men.
Reportedly Max conspired with his step brother Kelvin Leerdam, and his girlfriend Gina Conway, who served as the prosecution’s secret weapon in the case against him.
She turned on Max, testifying against Max in return for a shorter jail sentence.
Despite DMX's guilty plea to verbally threatening a guard during his last spell behind bars last week. The Dog will not have to serve any additional jail time.
Dmx went before a judge earlier yesterday after he allegedly threw a plate of food at a jail officer during his 90 day incarceration for animal cruelty charges.
Authorities say X took a meal from a tray and became upset and threw the food when told he couldn't have it.
Late last week, X copped a plea and was sentenced today to supervised probation by Maricopa County Superior Court.
According to USA Today, X will be allowed to serve his probation and undergo drug counseling in Florida, where he plans to return.
He says he is ready to continue work on a new album.

There might be a recession, but T-Pain wants everyone to know its not effecting him.
The auto-tune king recently copped himself a new chain, and posted photos of the new piece on Twitter, which he said cost a hefty $410,000, 197-karat accessory, weighing in at 10 pounds.
"Dudes and girls, I just wanna give a quick preview of the last chain you'll ever like," Pain wrote. "I'm shuttin' it down."
"Very very real I don't know what fake feel like. $410,000. Hola señor recession proof," he added.
Pain breaks out the ridiculous piece of jewelry at a time when critics and some artists are saying the era of bling is coming to an end.
Guess that doesn't apply to T-Pain.
Ed Note: Damn homie, ever thought about donating that $410,000 to a worthy cause? Ya'll been eating long enough now. Stop being greedy.
Although his Blueprint 3 album is not due until later this year, he's still a power player, according to The Source magazine's annual "Power 30" list.
The long-running hip-hop magazine will land atop their annual list this year, when the magazine drops its new issue later this month.
He's the frontrunner, said the mag, because he's an industry leader and a top businessman, boasting a portfolio that includes ventures with Live Nation, Rocawear, and a small stake ownership -- along with a group of investors -- in the NBA franchise, the New Jersey Nets.
Other names on the list include Lil Wayne, Diddy, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Kimora Lee Simmons, and T-Pain, among others.
Barack Obama (because of his influence on the new hip-hop generation) and the Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.an are also named as "Power 30" honorees.
"The Black Eyed Peas is like one of the biggest groups on the planet. We go out to Brazil, you know, a million, two hundred thousand people is at our concert," Will explained to the mag.
The "Power 30" issue features a coverstory from T.I. and his Grand Hustle crew, and what the rapper's hustle will be post-incarceration.
The issue hits newsstand June 16th.
