After being arrested last week in Arizona for parole violation, On Tuesday (March 16th) DMX was ordered to serve six months in a Phoenix jail.


According to published reports, X appeared in court and admitted to Maricopa County Court Commissioner Christine Mulleneaux that he violated his probation by failing a drug test.

Also during the hearing, a rep from MTV's "Celebrity Rehab" ask to treat DMX instead of jail. The judge however declined the request saying such a request would have to be approved by California court officials.

In addition to his six month jail sentence, X was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
