Lil Wayne's Rebirth #2 On Billboard

Lil Wayne's experimental rock album finally hit the shelves last week after months of delays and being accidently shipped and leaked by Amazon in December, and the question everybody wanted to know was how much could a Weezy rock album sell. The numbers are in, and his total of 175,600 landed him at #2 on the Billboard 200.

His label's debut album, We Are Young Money moved a little over 20k to push their seven-week total to 291,300.

Weezy recently spoke about Tha Carter IV with Tim Westwood.

"Yeah, Tha Carter IV, interesting," Wayne told radio host Tim Westwood. "Very interesting. It's interesting, I hope so, I hope it's incredible and all those things. But like I said, I think they know the velocity of Carter IV without me even having to speak on it. I think they know what that's gonna be. It should be [a defining moment]. It should be. Honestly, it should be."

Rick Ross And Floyd Mayweather Sqaush Beef

The feud between Rick Ross and multi-division boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has come to an end.

According to Ross, the two men met and squashed a beef, which saw both sides making unflattering comments about the other.

Additionally, Mayweather took a series of infamous, offensive pictures with Ross’ rival 50 Cent, along with his son William Roberts Jr. and his ex-girlfriend, Tia Kemp.

"Yeah, bumped into Floyd Mayweather," Ross told MTV News. "Most definitely. We chopped it up like G's and after a discussion, we shook hands. So that's squashed.”

Their feud ignited in 2009, when Rick Ross name checked Floyd Mayweather on his 2009 track “Mafia Music.”

Floyd responded immediately in August of 2009 and called out the rapper, due to his past as a correctional officer.

“He can learn how to get money from me,” Mayweather retorted. “If he’s a cop and rapping about selling drugs, I guess he was a dirty cop! You know me, I’m not ducking and dodging no one, it’s not hard to find me.”

The following month, Ross dropped a diss track aimed at Mayweather titled War, which was released after Mayweather made the unflattering comments about Ross.

The two men and their entourages almost came to blows in Las Vegas during a party hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“It's a new year, it's time to get new money,” Ross told MTV News. “Y'all know what it is. I kept it 1,000."

Dr Dre Sues Death Row Over 'The Chronic' Royalties

Dr. Dre has sued Death Row Records over his album The Chronic - claiming he is due royalties for the record and that it was reissued without his permission.

The rapper/producer filed the suit for around $75,000 yesterday (February 11) in federal court in Los Angeles. He claimed that he has not been paid royalties on the 1992 album since he left the label in 1996 and that the 2009 reissue The Chronic: Re-Lit was issued without his consent, reports Billboard.

In the suit Dre claimed that his attorneys notified the owners of Death Row since last year, WIDEawake, of the royalties owed to him but they did not pay him.

"When it came to paying artist royalties and honouring limits on Dr. Dre recordings that could be released, the 'new' Death Row Records, to quote our client, 'forgot about Dre,'" the rapper's attorney Howard King. "This lawsuit will make sure they remember."

Nelly Punched In The Face During Super Bowl Weekend

Nelly was punched in the face after becoming embroiled in a bust-up between his bodyguards and bouncers at a pre-Super Bowl gig on Friday (Feb. 5th).

According to The New York Post, Nelly arrived at the Liv nightclub in Miami, Florida to perform a set for VIPs at a party before Sunday's (Feb. 7th) big game between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts but the pre-celebrations turned nasty after the star's personal security got involved in a fracas with the club's doormen, which ended in Nelly being accidentally punched.

A source tells the publication, "His (Nelly) security appeared to get into an argument with the hotel's security staff. Nelly got in the middle and got punched by mistake. Then it spilled out of the back door and continued outside."

Game Heads Back To Aftermath

Saturday afternoon, Game officially announced his return to Aftermath Records.

The announcement, made via the Compton star rapper's Twitter page (@IHateGame), comes after pictures and statements already confirming Game's musical reunion with one of his early mentors, Dr. Dre.

Claiming, "It's funny how things come full circle R.E.D.", Game linked to a photograph of him wearing four Aftermath medallions on chain necklaces (see photo above).

R.E.D. is the title of Game's spring album, which may now carry the Aftermath logo.

Having released his multi-platinum debut, The Documentary on G-Unit/Aftermath/Interscope in 2005, the Black Wall Street founder would later release his two subsequent releases 2006's The Doctor's Advocate and 2008's L.A.X. on Geffen Records.

Geffen, a sister-label to Interscope in the IGA (Interscope-Geffen-A&M) family. Many believed these actions were due to tension between Game and 50 Cent, Dr. Dre and even Interscope head Jimmy Iovine.

By returning to Aftermath, Game joins Eminem, 50 Cent, as well as two newer artists Slim Da Mobster and Hayes.
